Had our own room for a birthday celebration. Food was exceptional but the service was perfect. Minor accommodations were made easily, food was served well paced and hot as well as delicious. Drinks were flowing well. We felt well taken care of

We scheduled La Scala for a wedding anniversary. We had not dined there for many years and we were certainly happy we came back. Covid restrictions are still in force and there was appropriate spacing and wearing of masks. The bocce ball court now serves as additional dining space. We began with a wine selection form a well curated list. There aren't the usual suspects here but, instead, a selection of intriguing opportunities from all over the world, especially Italy and California. We selected an Orvieto to go with our classic antipasto. Although the menu contains some great choices, for dinner we went with two specials. Twin lobster tails and crabmeat were served over rigatoni in a nicely seasoned cream sauce and our other choice was a 14 oz. veal chop, broiled to perfection just like the Tuscans do. Both meals were excellent and they represent what makes La Scala different. If you are looking for lasagna or veal parmesan, you can find it somewhere else. La Scala gives a different and memorable experience. Great service, including a visit from the chef and several management members, too. Be aware, unfortunately, that La Scala is definitely in the $$$$ category!

Went here on a Saturday night with another couple and our adult child. While I should have realized that there was a good possibility of sitting upstairs I hadn't been to Little Italy in years forgot. So, if you're not good with stairs please keep that in mind. We were seated at a lovely round table and approached within minutes by a waitperson which was refreshing. Plates of green beans and potatoes were placed on the table, not sure what they were supposed to taste like however they were super bland and mediocre. I can't imagine how much they throw away that never gets eaten.
Appetizers: we got the Calamari, Antipasta, Bruscetta, house salad, grilled ceaser (a special) and garlic bread without cheese. Plus house bread was served along with individual plates of olive oil (nice touch). Apps were delicious. Can not complain at all except house salad was originally over dressed and we got it replaced with dressing on the side.
Mains: Pasta Putenesca, Veal Saltimboca, Veal Baltimore, Pepper Filet, and not sure the name but basically fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and crab. Everything was delicious. I'm a veal Saltimboca snob and this was one of the best I've had.
Wine was good. Old Fashioned was mediocre.
Dessert: This was by far the most disappointing part of the evening. Gelato was not creamy and tasted more like ice milk. Profiteroles were drenched in mediocre chocolate and the custard was flavorless. Both the original and espresso canoli were mediocre. Only halfway reorderable dessert was the tiramisu.
Service: Besides for a small who's our waitperson snafu service was good. Our waitress clearly was newer to fine dining but was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. Both the manager and chef checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Could not complain.
All in all... with Vaccaros up the street I'd absolutely come for dinner again but go to Vaccaros for dessert.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Little Italy Baltimore. We have been coming here for 4 years in January as my daughter has a dance convention here. They provide car service for pickup and return. I booked l this reservation and car service 10 days ago with pickup at 545, as per them. Yesterday, the day before, I received a call that they could not pick us up. Ok whatever, we love the food, so we took an Uber. Well you would have thought a glass of wine or a dessert because of the inconvenience and their mistake would have been offered, but it was not. While we were waiting for our Uber home, they came out and asked if we wanted a ride back. You need to treat your loyal customers better - will try somewhere else next time because of poor customer service.

Wow! Having travelled to Italy several times I can tell you with confidence e that this place is the real deal. The food is the best Italian I have had in the states ever, literally. The chicken melts in your mouth and the pasta is freshly made.

I went with my son, daughter, and daughter's boyfriend shortly before Christmas. We had a fabulous meal and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Each of us had a great meal! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the long list of specials. He recommended great wine that was moderately priced and also told us the history of one of the beers that is made in Sicily. We loved the "video wall" and the indoor bocce court, although it was in use so we didn't have a chance to play. All in all, a great experience - we'll return.

I’m not a local so maybe I caught them on an off night, but very disappointing. My wife had the fettuccini Alfredo and I had a special which was rockfish baked in parchment paper with mussels. The fettuccini was basically tasteless and my fish was overcooked with some mushy artichoke and tomato. The side pasta was also tasteless. Desert was good and the service was excellent. We’ve been here before and the food was excellent so like I said, maybe an off night.

Spent the weekend with some friends at Inner Harbor and found La Scala on line. I saw the excellent ratings and I saw that they are very Covid aware, so I booked a reservation. What an incredible experience! Dining in their outdoor area, we felt like we were in a garden in Italy. It was enclosed and had a couple of awesome fire pits and felt incredibly intimate and cozy. The food was fantastic. There were six of us and we all raved about our dishes. I ordered a special - rolled chicken and sausage over broccoli rabe, and it was mouth watering. My wife had the veal parm and said it was incredible. Delia, our server was top notch! Thank you Delia! We will be sure to go back next time we're in the area!

Pleasant visit- went here for our wedding anniversary. Great service! Tasy, well prepared food. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. The chef was out and about and also very friendly. We had the grilled Ceasar salad which is a specialty and the mussels in garlic butter sauce were fantastic!! Definitely leave room for dessert - the pistachio canola was fantastic. So fresh and so flavorful
The cream was pistachio flavored plus pistachoos crushed on the outside.

My husband and I had dinner here last night and I wish this was in my backyard. Staff very friendly, even the owner chatted with us, great ambience. Had the bruschetta, 2 with tomatoes 2 with goat cheese. Wonderful. The veal marsala was very tender and sauce was perfect. My hisband has the shrimp and pappardelle which was great. Dessert was three cream puffs with chocolate sauce which was luscious. I'm so glad we have leftovers too.

We were in Baltimore for a family wedding. But, we were also celebrating a 75th birthday retroactively because covid cancelled the get together last year.
La Scala was recommended to us and it was simply perfect. We had a table on the balcony overlooking the front street. Table for 10 and the only ones there. Private dining! The service, food, people, initial contact and arrangements simply could not have been better.
I am a native Marylander and have eaten at many of what Little Italy has to offer. La Scala has become my new favorite. The folks there could not have done any better.
Some of us started with the grilled caesar salad and another special appetizer of the evening. Mains were a variety of pasta, chicken parmesan, veal, branzino and on and on. Everyone raved about their particular meal.
I highly recommend this restaurant!

Charming restaurant with a lot of character. Food was quite good. Enjoyed the antipasto appetizer which was for 2, but there was plenty for 3.
Service was excellent , food was delicious’
I could have enjoyed more of their crusty bread but opted not to ask for more.
Save room for dessert! Highly recommend the hazelnut cannoli .
You won’t be disappointed.

Used to be a consistent favorite for many years but the last dinner was quite a disappointment. Seafood didn’t seem particularly fresh, salad “bathed” in oil and vinegar dressing. Quality seemed to have slipped as a result of ownership change and cost cutting. Will be quite awhile before returning.

It was okay as an Italian restaurant in Baltimore, even though it didn't particularly impress me. My husband and I ordered a crab soup and shared a whole branzino, served with pasta with tomato sauce as a side dish. The fish was tasty and well-cooked, but to our taste, the pasta seemed overcooked and rather bland. Waiting times have been a bit high - which did not come entirely unexpected for a baked fish. Still, if we had known in advance, we would have opted for more appetizers while waiting for the main course.
I expected a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere, which I could not find there, even though our waiter was kind.
We would have loved the chef (and owner) to visit our table at some point, but he seemed busier with other customers, so we didn't have the chance to meet him in person.
