I had a beautiful birthday luncheon on the terrace. The staff could not have been more helpful. The eggplant appetizer was delicious and accompanied by a fresh cucumber salad. The luncheon buffet was good, and they even provided a champagne toast on the house. Everything was easy and delightful. A north Baltimore favorite, with good reason.

I found the Ambassador's Dining room through Trip Advisor, while visiting Johns Hopkins for a college tour. Not well signposted from the outside, but once you commit to entering the red-brick apartment building, you find the restaurant easily. This is a high-end Indian restaurant, set in a wood paneled classical dining room. The service was polite and impeccable, and the... More

Traditional Indian dishes, but also great mixed American/Indian fusions. Romantic, warm dining room. Last weekend, we had the raw tuna appetizer, lambs meatballs, Chilean Sea Bass and duck, none Indian per se, but all with Indian influences. each dish first rate: the duck had many layers of flavor: savory, fruity, spicy-- wonderful broth. Fish lightly battered, but perfectly cooked, rosemary... More

We decided to go to the Ambassador for lunch/buffet earlier & were shocked at how bad it is. Tasteless, bland food that's expensive. Not acceptable. Not one item on the buffet had any flavor. This place used to be great...... but has declined throughout the years. Sad. We won't be returning.

It is a bit tricky to find the restaurant but once you get in to the place, you will be pleasantly surprised by a restaurant set up. Service is great and you are welcomed and served by friendly staff members. All is good except foods! There is nothing wrong with it, but foods are very blend and lack those authentic... More

This restaurant is housed in an old english tudor style apartment building. It is rustic and elegant at the same time. This is not your cookie cutter restaurant, but a dining experience. The food and service are great. Everyone at the table was pleased with their entree. You will not regret your trip to this place.

I had been there in the past and had a better experience. The appetizers were nice, but I was really disappointed by my chicken biryani which had very little taste. It tasted like tomato rice with chicken, with no Indian species which usually make the difference. Strawberry sorbet was nice for the dessert.

I've been here many times over the years, and the experiences have been good, overall. Most recently, I came with a party of five, although we'd booked for six (one person couldn't make it at the last minute). We all sat for about forty minutes wondering what the heck was going on. We couldn't get any attention from anyone--it was... More

We felt very welcomed at reception and led to a lovely table by the charming fireplace. We asked for recommendations with our prefered flavor desires from our server and our dishes were spot on with spice dimensions and complexity. Wonderful service, meal and experience overall. We look forward to our next visit. Our only request is for management to consider... More

The food was very good. We ate at the lunch buffet. Nice selection of Indian foods. Dessert of rice "pudding" and cake if you want it was good.
