I've been here many times over the years, and the experiences have been good, overall. Most recently, I came with a party of five, although we'd booked for six (one person couldn't make it at the last minute). We all sat for about forty minutes wondering what the heck was going on. We couldn't get any attention from anyone--it was... More

We felt very welcomed at reception and led to a lovely table by the charming fireplace. We asked for recommendations with our prefered flavor desires from our server and our dishes were spot on with spice dimensions and complexity. Wonderful service, meal and experience overall. We look forward to our next visit. Our only request is for management to consider... More

The food was very good. We ate at the lunch buffet. Nice selection of Indian foods. Dessert of rice "pudding" and cake if you want it was good.

Very disappointing evening. There was only one other table occupied when we arrived, and it still took an hour to get to the entrees. I don't like to be rushed through a meal, but we had appetizers and then waited and waited. When the food arrived, the chicken was overcooked and dry. The fish was encased in a heavy breading... People may be surprised to find a dining room as the main floor of an apartment community, but that describes The Ambassador. The room is lovely, though the day we arrived it was not completely clear just where it was. Check on the address, it is correctly listed, but do not be surprised when you have apparently arrived at an... More

Best Indian food in Baltimore hands down. It's a little hard to find the right entrance and it's in a really weird location (inside a condo/apartment building) but once you figure out where you're going, it's fine. The staff are always very friendly, the atmosphere inside is lovely, and the outdoor garden area is beautiful.

Ambassador Dining Room is our favorite restaurant in town, and Baltimore has plenty of great spots. Indian is not our favorite cuisine, but the kitchen of Ambassador serves incredibly tasty dishes. The service, by Indian waiters in suits, is friendly and constant. Located on the ground floor of an apartment building near Johns Hopkins, it surprises you with a great... More

My friend and I love Indian food so headed to Ambassador Dining Room last Friday (super hot day in Baltimore). You kind of have to know it's there, as it's inside an apartment building without any signage. BUT the minute you walk in, the beauty of the architecture and the decor make you feel like you've walked into Old World... More

My family has been going to the Ambassasor since I was a teen. I'm 44. Although the portions have gotten mysteriously smaller over the years the service is still generally superb and the food is excellent. Ambiance though is what makes the restaurant. Not really anything like it in the area.

The famous outside patio is in desperate need of new cushions. NOT exaggerating, all the cushions were flat and showed the exact black shiny imprint of former customer's legs and buttocks. The bathroom was dirty and is in a major need to take it out of the 1950's. While we asked for mild to moderate, all three different dishes tasted... More
