Four of us dined. It was restaurant week, but we decided to order a la carte as there were more selections available. We were not disappointed.. Each had an appetizer . The Spanish shrimp was a winner! The flavor wonderful and the sauce even better! As the diner who ordered the shrimp, does not eat bread, he asked for a spoon... More

I was in Baltimore for a couple of days and had done a bit of looking around and saw that the City Cafe was just across the street from my hotel. I asked at the hotel and said the place was great. They were right. I walked in on a moderately busy Thursday night and got a seat at the... More

This is a popular place and I see why. There are good menu choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had an excellent crab cake benedict and my wife enjoyed her smoked salmon benedict. The coffee was excellent!

Four of us celebrated my wife's birthday with Sunday brunch. I glad the openfaced scrapple and egg sandwich, which was excellent. My wife had a Baltimore Benedict, featuring, of course, a crab cake. Service was excellent.

As usual, I chose this restaurant based on TA reviews and the menu. There was a nice selection of wine by the glass and a varied menu. I ordered the tuna entree. I had wanted it without the fried rice, but the waitress was reluctant and so I conceded to have it as it was described on the menu. I... More

We found the City Cafe to have great food and Kathlin to be a skilled and friendly waiter. The menu was varied and the dining room was interesting and modern. Great place within walking distance of the Meyerhoff Theater.

Beautiful building on a busy corner. The atmosphere is eloquent, the menu eclectic, and the prices on the high side, but you are paying for ambience here. I was surprised that they did not carry Bombay Sapphire Gin but instead old classics like Beefeaters and Tangueray. Most odd for an upscale establishment. We ordered a small appetizer which was in... This was our first experience at City Cafe, and it is so good I have to be picky to find anything wrong here. We had an early dinner here on Saturday. Walked in without a reservation and were seated upstairs within 5 minutes. Nice! City Cafe has a stylish, retro look to it upstairs, I didn't really get to see... More

We chose City Cafe due to the proximity to the Myerhoff Symphony Hall. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. The place was busy. Our waiter was great. He explained all the specials, offered some wine suggestions and never rushed us even though he knew we were going to the theater. My husband had the rare tuna and... More
