Once again we were not disappointed! The kitchen creates amazing food over and over again. (And the price of our entree was so reasonable). The "1999" price of the cosmo was a great surprise and was delicious; our server was pleasant and efficient. What's not to LOVE at this neighborhood gem. We'll be back soon.

We dined here over a year ago and were rushed as we had theater tickets and vowed to come back with more time to spend dining and that's we did last Friday night. We reserved ahead and found parking right out front on the street (free parking after 6pm). Fantastic food, my Lobster Pappardelle was delicious as it was loaded... More

The Butternut soup was awesome. The restaurant has dim lighting so I’m not sure but I think I was stirring a little cream and wine around in my soup. It was good as well as the fried Green Tomatoes with lumps of buttery crabmeat. Topped off with a dry Riesling. We had to a little wait due to Saturday night... More

I would like to give this place a better review, I have been going here for over 10 years. When I first started going it was a very fun place for just good food but they have become so trendy over the years and the menus have become very pretentious. Last time I was there my bill was over $50... More

Visited with a group ranging from 19 to 74 and everyone loved it. We all had something different and each meal was great. The menu is interesting, portions are generous, the food is fabulous and the space is trendy but comfortable. A great choice in the Mount Vernon area.

Friendly staff. Good selection. They give everyone fresh cinnamon rolls. The pumpkin pancakes were a great fall selection.

This popular dining spot is located in a vintage building. The decor is very modern, just like in a museum. Service was attentive and they let us linger after we finished our meal. Vegan dishes available.

Pricey but hay, we were on vacation. After afternoon at the art museum, headed here for dinner. Snagged a parking space across the street (no meter-no restrictions) and took a table in the small side dining area-the main area was way too LOUD. Husband loved his rack of lamb and I liked the crab cake with corn pudding (could have... More

Food & service excellent. Walking distance from hotel. When asked if I had a reservation, I mentioned the recommendation of the manager of Hotel Brexton by name. Very friendly staff.

I've eaten at City Cafe during restaurant week and the experience was fine. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad so I thought I would give it another chance to gauge the experience. I was not happy with this experience. Let me start by staying that the staff is amazing. They are extremely courteous and professional. My review is strictly... More
