We were in town for a wedding and had the rehearsal dinner at City Café. The food was very good and the wait staff was excellent. We were served small bites, but had plenty of food. We remained in the bar area the entire time, yet the waiters and waitresses we had kept the food and drinks flowing. They also... More

This is a wonderful restaurant mid-town Baltimore. Conveniently located when going to an event downtown or mid-town like the Meyerhoff Symphony hall. Excellent service and most times reservations are a must. Their menu is eclectic and everything from Crab Cakes to GRILLED BRONZINI to Grilled Lamb Chops. We had the cream of crab soup which had lumps of crab meat... More

Had the best service here in a long time. Came on a Saturday nite and even though it was busy our server took her time and didn't rush us. The food was well prepared and delicious. We came back for brunch the next morning and food service lackadaisical and the food uninspired.

We had tickets for the Baltimore Symphony and wanted to make the evening more special. The City Cafe was a wise choice. We made our reservation at 6:00 with the concert at 8:00 PM. It worked wonderfully. We let the server know our time constraint. We each ordered a glass of wine and then our dinners. Everything arrived promptly. When... More

We came here for happy hour twice. It was wonderful! Just went back for brunch yesterday and it was terrific. They have typical brunch stuff but with an interesting twist. They have healthy options too. Great atmosphere. Great drinks and great service!

City Cafe is a nice, casual Baltimore restaurant. Service was friendly but a bit slow. For appetizers I tried the calamari, which came with a sweet Thai dipping sauce, as well as the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls that came with a spicy ketchup. Both were tasty, though the cheesesteak rolls were a bit bland without the ketchup (and I swear... More

I went to breakfast on Labor Day Monday with my friend, Fran, who was visiting me from NY. We went to City Café on Cathedral St., which is one of my "go to" favorites for breakfast. We both had the Homestyle Breakfast with coffee and Mimosas, of course. We sat outside and enjoyed great conversation, spectacular weather and exceptional service... More

Chef Jennings knows how to prepare fish!!Had a delicious lunch and our selections were as refreshing as the watermelon appetizer. The service was outstanding! Decor is simple, elegant and comfortable.

We decided to order a group of appetizers and the waiter was very helpful. The calamari and the cheese steak spring rolls were delicious and plentiful. The watermelon and feta salad was the perfect balance.

Amazing food in a wonderful atmosphere with contemporary decor. I sipped on a gin blossom at the suggestion of my waiter. This place has such a great variety: it was $20 steak dinner Monday's and yet I had "something vegan" for dinner (a tomato stuffed with ratatouille). Service crawls along, but everyone is friendly.
