Normally the food and service are impeccable. Tonight was a miss. I ordered the veal chop medium well. An hour and a half later it appeared raw at my table. They apologised profusely and gave us a free desert. I ordered Osso Buco which is always good. Perhaps it was just an off night. We have come many a time... More

My girlfriend and I flew to Baltimore over the weekend for her birthday to catch an O's game and eat in Little Italy. We had read Aldo's was a staple and would be the best option. We arrived on time for our reservation and were led to a table on the top floor where they left us and didn't return.... More

Horrible. There was a draft at our table. We asked if we could move to another table. The hostess told us "No. No other tables are set." Asked someone else if the air conditioning could be lowered or the temperature raised. "No. The setting has to stay where it is." We saw that there were several other open tables. We... More

Ann and I were in B'more for a meeting and went out for a nice meal at Aldo's. Good north Italian cooking. Ann had spaghetti and clams and I had 2 appetizers, shrimp scampi and escargot. Both had heavy great tasting sauces and were plenty for dinner, accompanied by a nice Brunello for the extensive wine list. A nice couples... More

I was in town on business and had dinner as part of a party of 9, most of us not knowing each other. We were seated in what looked like anyone's grandmother's dining room that had remained unchained since the 1930s. Charming. Our waiter was professional, confident, knowledgable, and after the meal he was out opt our guide through this... More

Atmosphere so elegant. However it can get noisy fast. Lots of staff but attention sporadic. Appetizers of shrimp scampi and calamari were great. Tray of food sat beside our table for a while before being put on table so entrees were not as hot as we would have liked. Taste was very good.

On entering Aldo’s our gaze is drawn down a colonnaded atrium that seems to promise a memorable meal. We’re led to our table draped with a white tablecloth and set with Wedgwood service plates. My wife orders a bellini made with white peaches and prosecco. My first impression: a really good dining experience awaits us. The waiter recites a list... More

Was in town to visit family and was invited to attend a get together in Little Italy. I grew up in Baltimore and have fond memories of dining at other nearby restaurants. We were seated in a nice secluded place downstairs known as the Wine Cellar. The ambiance was nice as was the company, but no one could have foretold the... More

Description
“One of the best Italian restaurants in America” / "The wine list at Aldo's is exemplary, easily one of the best on the east coast” / “This is clearly a labor of familial love, and it shows in every dish" -- John Mariani (of Esquire Magazine), 2012 Aldo’s is Baltimore’s most celebrated Italian restaurant. Aldo's features Chef/Owner Aldo Vitale's delicately balanced southern-influenced regional Italian cuisine, served in sumptuously appointed rooms steeped in classical Italian tradition. The media rave about Aldo's, calling it "An Italian Masterpiece" (NY Times) and have recognized Aldo's for offering Maryland's "Best Private Dining" (The Baltimore Sun) and "Baltimore's Best Private Dining Rooms" (Baltimore Magazine). Private dining rooms include a belowground, climate-controlled Wine Cellar and a Medici-inspired Library.
