Visiting the adult daughter and husband for a short weekend. They chose this restaurant and I am flabbergasted. My SIL loves basic food. You know, burgers and fries. It was restaurant week. He ordered duck wings as his app----finger licking good and all gone in record time. Our waiter was delightful, funny and interactive without hovering. I had the crab... More

Six of us had a great dinner on December 31st. We were promptly seated for our 7:15 reservation. Lively atmosphere, great service and delicious food. I had the Buffalo Pickles and the Short Rib - fantastic! Go and enjoy!

The Food Market serves excellent food and drinks, nestled in the heart of the iconic Hampden neighborhood in Baltimore. It's great for a casual meal with friends or a group dinner--just be sure to book reservations in advance since the dining room tends to fill-up quickly during peak times. While the food, drinks, and service are all very, very good,... More

As regular patrons, we love the inventive menu, cocktails, and vibe. The griddled lamb porterhouses in an apricot sauce were awesome. You can either go the traditional route of appetizer and main course or create a combination of small plates. Make a reservation or take your chances at the communal table.

Had an early dinner for two families before heading to see the lights of Hampden; great service, very good food. Menu is excellent range of choices with different sizes -- little, small, big and in-between. Enjoyed a drink and draft beer, both excellent. Shared several of the small and little plates, everyone also ordered from the little or big choices,... More

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve. Service was exceptional. Food was wonderful. Our party of four shared all of the dishes. The buffalo pickles, lobster fingers, duck wings and crab soup were perfect appetizers. The crab cake was a bit spicy for me but did have wonderful flavor and lots of meat. The Brussels sprouts, scallops and lamb were amazing,... More

This restaurant is in Hampden, in Baltimore. Friends recommended we meet there for drinks and dinner and then walk over to see the Christmas lights on 34th Street. We had never done dinner in Hampden and were so impressed to see all the great shops. The Food Market was awesome! They offered valet, which was so convenient, at no cost.... More

From perfectly crafted drinks and good wine selection by the glass, just the beginning of a wonderful dinner. Such a great selection for every type of palette. I like to try different things and my husband is a carnivore but we both had a hard time trying to decide what to get. I had the beets by Chad salad and... More

Cool restaurant in former grocery store, full of industrial vibe and interesting beautiful people. Food is creative and delicious, perfect for brunch on weekends, or lunch and dinner during the week. Very popular with college kids and their visiting parents, reservations a good idea. Sits in center of trendy 36th St in hip Hampden, great area to stroll around and... More
