The food was excellent! We had oysters and shrimp to start. Then we shared a big salad with lobster and a shrimp ceviche. The wine was really good too - a French rose. Tables are quite close together so not much privacy.

Found this place by accident on the internet. It is in the Falls Point area which is very commercial but was one of the best raw bars we have visited. Took an Uber from the waterfront and got there early without a reservation (but 20...min later, we would have had a wait). Great shrimp and oysters.More

Nice setting, with friendly staff. The oysters were very fresh and delicious. The fish was also excellent.

Went for lobster roll that exceeded expectations...was doubtful it would be enough however, more than sufficient lobster pieces poached to perfection were sandwiched atop a buttery brioche bun that satisfied with every bite. I love Old Bay seasoning, just not on my fries, but that's...NOT why I sought out Thames. Likewise, I did not go for dessert but tried the "homemade apple pie". The unpeeled apples were piled inside a soft doughy crust ... huge no no, for pie demands a short flaky crust! The cocktail menu was not inspiring... that aside, bar staff was friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking and efficient.More

We were here 3 years ago, went again last night. Best Crab cakes in Baltimore in my limited opinion. Again had the fabulous crab cake in cast iron, had delicious crab soup and clam chowder. Wife had lobster risotto packed with tender lobster meat and...creamy risotto. Only hassle is that only way to make reservations is they charge your credit card $25 PER PERSON if you don’t show and that is the only way to reserve this very popular restaurant. We walked in at 4:30 when they opened and got a table easily. Wonderful cozy restaurant. Entrees we’re $36 each worth every penny.More

Very loud. We had to wait forever for our food when all I had the stew and my husband had oyster stew and a salad. People seated around us, who ordered after us, were getting their food. And it is overpriced. With some many other...restaurants in the area, I suggest going someplace else.More

Great food! Raw bar was excellent, best oysters we had all weekend. The service was amazing too! We started off with the raw bar, then soups before our entrees! My husband loved his Maine blueberry dessert too

Outstanding food and good service. The bouillabaisse is outstanding—better than in Marseille where it is the National dish.

We were told (on the internet) that this was the best in Baltimore. It was good, but hardly the best in town. Nice area though, very convenient.

Best calamari we've ever had, And everything else was delicious too. Wonderful wait staff. We arrived 20 min early and the hostesses did all kinds of maneuvers to get us a table so we would not have to wait. And it was a great table...too, upstairs. You should have reservations for this place as it is popular for a reason.More

I've been here a few times over the years and the food is always good. The service was always okay but on my recent visit, it was downright rude. There were two servers in the area where I sat and they would just stand together...glaring at diners and at points it looked as if they were actually talking about them. It was so disturbing I won't return even though I enjoy the food here.More

We arrived early for dinner and sat at the bar. We enjoyed the raw bar, clams and shrimp. We drank champagne and white wine.I tried an oyster shooter!! Delicious The menu is diverse but not overwhelming. We started with a local tomato salad with ricotta...and green onions in a vinaigrette. We ordered grilled swordfish over white polenta in a lobster sherry sauce with fresh lobster and kingfish in a Portuguese stew over baguette slices. Service was great , staff enjoyable and overall this dinner did not break the bank! Make reservations!!More

You can but you may have to carry the child once you are inside. there are about 3 to 4 steps into the building. It is very tight quarters inside and there are tables upstairs also.

Don't know as only had oysters on the half-shell. But would bet money that their fried version is great.
