My husband decided we needed to get away this weekend, and we selected Baltimore as our driving destination. We were lucky to be able to get a reservation at this restaurant. So glad we did. It's housed in a quaint period building on the waterfront....The menu, wine list, and service were all impressive. Special kudos to the Crab/Beef Short Rib Soup, and the perfectly executed Lobster Roll. We need to visit again.More
So I consider answering the phone to be a part of service. This evening, I called with a question and was asked if I could hold briefly to which I agreed. 10 minutes later, I hung up and called back. I was again asked if...I could hold briefly. This time I responded "Only if it is in fact brief", hoping they would realize I was the person they forgot about 10 minutes earlier. As I type this, I've been on hold for 12 minutes. I won't be giving Thames St. my business tonight. If they can't staff a high end restaurant well enough to answer the phone, it causes me concerns. Hopefully they will remedy the problem shortly as I have enjoyed their food in my previous experience. Be sure that my future visits will have an extra eye toward the service aspect of this restaurant. The phone was finally answered 15 minutes and 21 seconds into my second call and about 26 minutes after my initial call.More
Wow! Best meal in years! Ask for Theresa she is amazing, we had two of the specials and they were better than she explained. Soft shell crabs and the tile fish and ravioli were top quality! The deserts were light and yummy, can’t wait to...come back. Have the seafood salad, it was delicious!More
We only had one night in Baltimore & decided to try Thames Street Oyster House. It did not disappoint. We had the lobster roll & crab cake. They were both the best we have enjoyed. If you get the chance, you should definitely eat here.
