This restaurant is relocated to 528 Baltimore Pike Bel Air, MD 21014 and now called Alchemy-Elements. We had dinner there recently and it was a great experience.

The appetizers, beef tenderloin and snapper were so delicious. My pear salad is worth mentioning, as were the two very ample crab cakes. I have to compliment the management on the proper wine service. It's not easy to find in many restaurants. My food, and the chef coming to our table to greet us, created the best memory. My caveats:... More

First off service was excellent! We were seated immediately probably due to the many attractions outside that day! Server was prompt and very personable! We had two small apps the pulled carnitas flatbread and the crab mac and cheese! The flatbread left a little something to be desired i was expecting that authentic Mexican 'cantina taco' pork taste but it... More

Alchemy is a small neighborhood restaurant with an interesting menu and really good food but unfortunately the service is very slow and not very friendly. So you get a good meal at a very reasonable price in a nice atmosphere and you just need to be very patient and forgiving if the service is less than you would expect.

I had the crab cakes. Very good with nothing but crab meat and a sauce, that is, there was no bread crumb filler.

This has been a favorite when we visit family in Baltimore. Exquisite food prepared by the owner/chef. New combinations, creative menu. I went last week and it was disappointing. Hard to be gluten-free. Standard lunch menu. My sister's mussels tasted a little old and fishy. We asked, and the owner has opened another location and is mostly at the new... More

There are so many restaurants where you enjoy the food, have good service, but do not feel the need to return. After dining there recently on a Saturday night with 7 friends, I walked out of Alchemy and remarked that I would return. The food was not only interesting, but delicious. I had an appetizer of scallop over polenta and... More

Every aspect of this meal was beyond epicurean! Being an avocado fan, I had to start with the Carmelized Avocado Salad. They nailed the carmelization and the avocado was the perfect consistency/ripeness. My entrée was the Mushroom Beef Tenderloin and it arrived cooked to perfection and EVERY bite of it was mouth watering. I left not one bit behind -... More

Went to Alchemy on business trip to Baltimore. The food was amazing. I had the Pork shank which fell off the bone. The crawfish arincini was a great starter which had big chunks of crawfish. Over all everyone in the group leader bed this place. Our waiter was also nice enough to split our 5 way bill.

4 of us descended upon Alchemy on a Tuesday night. We had some wonderful appetizers...pork carnitas, crab mac and cheese, sweet potato stuffed with lamb and mussels. Followed by lamb chops and a pork porterhouse. Just outstanding and delicious, all properly seasoned and served exactly as ordered. The meal is enhanced by the highly competent waitstaff. (Jen was our server).... More
