It was average. Not much more to say. There are so many other places with a happier environment. But I do love the hotel so it makes it convenient to have this right here.

Stayed at the Tremont Plaza for a conference, and arrived in Baltimore during that netherworld between lunch and dinner. Seeing a menu for in-room dining from Tug’s, I grew hopeful that I’d be able to eat before dinnertime. But, the kitchen, both for room service as well as in-restaurant dining was closed. This just furthered the anticipation and when dinner... More

Long wait for service and meals. Uninterested and unfriendly servers. Hotel managers and restaurant do not coordinate services.

Please understand that the Tremont hotel which contains Tug's has just be bought by Embassy Suites and is in a state of transition. Tug's is feeling the effects of a lack of communication of conference events and understaffing. We at there several times for convenience; however the food is only average while most of the waitstaff is pleasant. This place... More

A group of us met for brunch here after a friends' wedding and were very unimpressed. The only option was the buffet, which was $15pp. It featured mediocre bacon and sausage, waffles that were not warm enough to melt the butter (which was not out, I had to flag down a waitress and ask for it), piles of extremely stale... Great restaurant at The Tremont Hotel, Tugs' staff was fantastic. Really nice menu with specials that were truly special. The bartender was very knowledgeable. Made us perfect Martinis every time without needing to be told how. This is very rare with younger bartenders. For some reason most think to use Vodka which of course is not used to make a... More

The restaurant staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My meals (breakfasts and salads) were tasty. Typical hotel and bar food/atmosphere when you want something quick and convenient.

On our first evening here, a large group of us gathered in the bar. Please was full...all seats taken and several people standing. Bartender (blonde female) kept disappearing from behind the bar for LONG periods of time...I'm talking 30 minutes. Couldn't get a drink...couldn't pay our check.

Tug's is a good place for a quick bite if you're in a hurry or want something local. Reasonably priced and accomodating staff.
