We finally could not wait any longer to come downtown to Baba’s for carry-out. The restaurant has gone thru some changes. They now offer a market with all kinds of yummy food products at reasonable prices. The tables for dining-in are gone, but you can...still sit at the counter. Our order was ready when we arrived. We ordered two Salmon Charmoula – a very nice-size portion of salmon encrusted with a cumin and turmeric dry rub served with Dijon tahini dressing over orzo/rice. The salmon was perfectly cooked. To go with our dinners, we split a Greek salad - romaine lettuce, feta cheese, Kalamata and black olives, tomato, cucumbers, oregano, red onions in a light dressing. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Thank you for a delicious dinner.More

There is no greater pleasure than introducing friends to the delicious food that Baba’s has to offer. We brought our new neighbors who just moved to Baltimore from Texas. Their eyes were bigger than their stomachs. They wanted to try everything. They ordered the Dolmas...Plate, Garden Quinoa, Tabouleh Quinoa, and the hummus of the day with Jalapenos with pitas. They were in heaven. They did have to get “to go” boxes. We enjoyed a small Greek salad, Shrimp Ouzo over rice and Rosemary Beef. Everything is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. BYOB with no corkage fee is a plus for us.More

What can we say, we really like Baba’s! We came for an early dinner and pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves, which was great. We decided to share the Hummus Plate, which was a blended dip with chickpeas, sesame seed paste, garlic, and lemon...juice served with pita bread. Then, we also shared the Greek salad (romaine lettuce, feta cheese, Kalamata and black olives, tomato, cucumbers, oregano, red onions in a light dressing). Both the hummus and salad was enough to share amongst the four of us. Three of us had the Salmon Charmoula, which was salmon encrusted with cumin and turmeric dry rub served with Dijon tahini dressing over rice/orzo. The salmon was cooked perfectly. We all felt that the sauce had too much seasoning – made it spicier that we would have liked. My son-in-law really enjoyed his shrimp ouzo over rice -marinated shrimp pan-seared and served over a bed of rice. We really enjoy the BYOB policy with no corkage fee.More

We have been wanting to introduce Baba’s to our daughter and son-in-law and last night we did. We arrived early so that we could get a table (there are only 4) with one high top and counter seating. We were delighted to see that Farid...installed a drapery by the front door to cut down on the cold when the door is opened. We love their BYOB policy with no corkage fee. We started off with a spanakopita, which is spinach and feta cheese in a crispy filo pastry shell. It was a generous size, so that we each had a nice piece to taste. For our main courses, my husband and I chose the salmon charmoula (salmon encrusted with a cumin and turmeric dry rub served with Dijon tahini dressing). Mine was served over rice/orzo. My husband upgraded for a double salad with his. Our son-in-law thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp ouzo (marinaded shrimp pan seared and served over a bed of rice) and upgraded for hummus and a salad). Our daughter ordered the rosemary beef (fresh rosemary-rubbed beef grilled and topped with a creamy mushroom sauce) over rice/orzo. For a very sweet ending, we all split a Baklava – oh my, it was so good! Everything was just perfect.More

We saw on Facebook that Baba’s would be serving butternut squash lasagna, and it was calling our name. We popped in for an early dinner. We started with the pumpkin soup, which had a little kick to it; but, was really satisfying on this cold...night. The main attraction of the butternut squash lasagna did not disappoint. It was a generous portion of lasagna with the perfect balance of butternut, ricotta and mozzarella. Our complements to chef Ryan – he hit the mark with this one. We left very happy campers.More

We so enjoy dining in at Baba’s. We come from Towson because the food is that good; and, we really enjoy the BYOB with no corkage fee. We arrived early before 6:00 PM and the restaurant was nearly full. There was one two-top left for...us. They are only a few tables and counter seating here. Farid, the owner, does a huge carry out business. Tonight, my husband savored the rosemary beef with orzo/rice combination ($9.00). The beef was perfectly cooked to medium rare and was served with a creamy mushroom sauce. I had the salmon charmoula ($9.50) – a nice size portion of salmon encrusted with a cumin and turmeric dry rub served with Dijon tahini dressing over orzo/rice. It was such a delicate taste. We moved over to the counter and had a lovely conversation with a gentleman from London. He comes to Baba’s every time he is in Baltimore on business. That says it all!More

The food and service has gone downhill. A lot of new rude employees, Owner trying to politically correct and it backfired. A second restaurant in 0Remington recently closed.

Congratulations to Farid and his staff on celebrating your 11th Anniversary! We are so delighted that we found your restaurant, and we come all the way from Towson to enjoy it. Each time we have come, we have never been disappointed. We came for an...early dinner, and it was delicious. Farid started us off with his homemade featured hummus - Green Hummus served with pita. It was so tasty. We ordered more food than we should have! My friend and I had the Salmon Charmoula (salmon encrusted with a cumin and turmeric dry rub served with Dijon tahini dressing). Mine was served over a rice and orzo combination. My friend upgraded to the platter which included hummus and a salad. My husband had the Zataar Tuna (pan-seared sushi-grade tuna encrusted with a thyme and oregano dry rub). We decided to share a Greek salad, but we were so full; so, we brought it home to enjoy tomorrow. We really like that Baba’s is a BYOB with no corkage fee. Thank you for another great meal! We wish you many years of continued success.More

Farid, you and your staff continue to wow us! We are always so excited to bring friends and introduce them to Baba’s. They were very impressed. Tonight, we tried many new things. We started with the Caprese Salad (fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, dressed with a...vinegar and olive oil reduction) and a Greek Salad (romaine lettuce, feta cheese, Kalamata and black olives, tomato, cucumbers, oregano, red onions.). For our main courses, we savored 3 Farid's Falafels with rice/orzo pasta, Zataar Tuna (pan-seared sushi-grade tuna encrusted with a thyme and oregano dry rub), two Chicken Piccatas (cage-free chicken marinated and pan-tossed in a caper and lemon dressing) and the Rosemary Beef (fresh rosemary-rubbed beef grilled and topped with a creamy mushroom sauce). We just love BYOB; and, we all really enjoyed our dinners. Thank you so much!More
