The pastries are consistently well-prepared and delicious, albeit expensive. Entrees (sandwiches, burritos, wraps, whatever): Average, and expensive. Good coffee, however!

Stopped by on a Sunday morning. There was just a short line for take out coffee and baked goods. You can also sit down and get a full breakfast. Got a almond bearclaw and it was soo good. Yum.

This is a nice vegetarian restaurant and cafe, but the real gem is the well-supplied play area for little ones (especially under 6 years old), which is all too rare in Astoria. Their salads are pricey, but delicious. Their baked goods are famously delicious.

OR coast is a vegan food desert but Blue Scorcher was really good. The place is adorable and comfortable. The baristas are super nice. Limited vegan items on the menu, so I opted for the vegan breakfast burrito on the specials board. Black beans, perfectly seasoned sweet potatoes, pesto rolled up and In a tortilla and thrown in the panini... More

We stopped in Blue Scorcher just in time to take advantage of the breakfast / brunch menu. We were very pleased with everything we ordered. As the daily menu is constantly under reconstruction (a good thing!), it would not serve the purposes of a review to mention any dish in particular. Suffice it to say that we tried a variety... Ducked in here to grab a cup of coffee and mini cinnamon and walnut roll. Had the basic house coffee which was available self serve. There was a selection of pastries as well as artisan chocolates. Both breakfast and lunch are served. Children's menu is available. Nice options on both menus. Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking available and wheelchair accessible.... More

Absolutely a must-visit if you are passing through Astoria!! We stopped here recently for breakfast on our trip along the Oregon coast and it left such an impression on me. Fresh, delicious food. Wonderful, calm, refreshing atmosphere! Perfect for families. Don't leave without stocking up on their oat cakes for the road! YUM!! Five stars!!

Good plain food, easy parking, very homestyle choices. Good breakfast and pastries. Will probably stop by for a cup of coffee when we next visit town.
