We didn't stop to dine, but we grabbed beers and a couple of really cool t-shirts with the names of local brews. The staff were friendly and helpful.

As always, a very good meal with or without beer, with or without dogs. This time, dining with our dogs on the patio. Aside from the snotty look from other patrons who clearly don't understand the "Wet Dog Cafe" concept, a good time was had by all!!

We decided to do our own tour of Astoria so we started off with a walk. A neat place that is a MUST to visit is the Wet Dog Cafe. No claustrophobia here ....plenty of room on all levels plus a small outdoor porch with tables that have a nice view of the Colombia River. We opted for a glass... More

Great beer on tap, an outdoor deck, and a pretty good view of the river. Deserts are awesome too. Have not tried the dinner menu yet but will be back. On a sat night they had live music that made for a mellow evening on the town. Great way to complement your dinner conversation.

Part 2 of our day trip to Astoria--Fort George Brewing was Part 1. We ordered the 10 sample flight which had a fine selection, although they substituted Trolley for Bad Add Porter. Oh well. My hamburger was adequate--nothing special--and his onion rings were fine. The entertainment value--ships at anchor in the Columbia, the Trolley, other vessels, the coastal landforms--made it... I used to live in the area, and the Wet Dog was the first brew pub in Astoria. The food is still good quality bar fare. Maybe even a little above that. The menu selection is varied. And the beers? Wonderful. A good selection of malty varieties, as well as the over hopped, over hyped IPAs.

This place went right to the top of our must eat at list when in Astoria. Their variety fish and chips (1 piece each of cod, halibut and salmon) which my wife had, was great!! I had the captains platter which added battered and fried prawns and oysters was out of this world! I also had a pint of their... More

We had lunch on the dog friendly patio and enjoyed the view of the waterfront and the local trolley that passes by. The food was good, the beers very tasty. The service was very good. A very enjoyable experience as we passed through on vacation.
