Arrived on a Friday night, restaurant was not busy. I would recommend visiting during daylight hours to enjoy the view of the river. Restaurant has been here a LONG time, so you know they are doing something right. Décor and ambiance is dated...it might be time to upgrade. Service was decent and friendly. Menu was limited. British favorites, plus a... More

I thought this place was a pleasant dinning experience. We got there late on a Friday night and it was not very busy so the service was pretty good and so was the food. We got shepard's pie and a pasty. They were both great, the portions were so large that we could've split an order...so we took leftovers. The... More

We thought this would be a good place to try fish and chips since they have been around since 1974ish, but it was not to be on the early eve. we went. The restaurant is old and dreary. By five thirty the specials were gone, which might have been good. The half sea food platter was not big, one shrimp,... More

We were passing by on foot and decided another glass of wine would help us on our walk back to our cruise ship....decided to share a plate of battered shrimps....excellent. Great view of bridge and clear blue skies. Staff friendly and wifi on site to boot...great when your a visitor from England!

We came for the fish and chips which were pretty good. Good portion of fish-ours done well. The fish were crisp but not overdone and rubbery and certainly not greasy. The sides could use a little help; fries pretty bland, tiny portion slaw. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Should just be what it is, a decent family restaurant... More

Everytime we come to Astoria we make it a point to stop here for either drinks and appetizers or a meal. We appreciate their reasonable prices and love the location!

We came here after looking at reviews and location. It is an old restaurant but it is nice and gas a great view. The staff is nice and the halibut fish and chips were good. It was obviously a local favorite because that is what was mostly there. It was a great choice for this little town.

Had to have fish and chips. Fish was not crisp, and steak fries kind of bland. The house wine was pretty bad. Dining room furniture was pretty tired too.

I like to say something positive in reviews so I can say parking was easier here than other waterfront businesses. And it probably has nice views at lunch. But in the evening it is dark, the menu is boring and the food was just not that good. A crab muffin was way overpriced, the fries enormous but tasteless, fried prawns... More

Was hoping to get true Bangors & Mash or Shepherd's Pie, but they were sold out. Our meals were delicious, nonetheless!!!
