Stopped in for dinner. Had good food at reasonable prices. Wife and daughter says this place had best halibut fish and chips the whole vacation.

We had a super pleasant and delicious lunch at the Ship Inn! The restaurant is a little dated but we thought it was charming! We loved being right on the river and watching all of the ships and boats go by. All 4 of us ordered fish and chips from the senior section and it was the perfect amount of... More

Was a little skeptical at first because the place looks kinda old and the prices were a little high, but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding and the food was the best fish I've ever had. The restaurant was clean with a great view of the harbour. I would definitely recommend going here.

We had the fish and chips. The full portion is quite a lot of food. So bring your appetite. Quite honestly, the Costco frozen cod and chips is better. After reading all the reviews and the fact we were walking right by, we thought to ourselves, how bad could it be? Out of the other higher rated restaurants in Astoria,... More

Wonderful restaurant along the riverfront. It has an English feel to it as the owners are British. Service was wonderful and the food was delish! We both had fish and chips. You could have either cod or halibut. We ordered both in the senior citizen portions which was just enough.

The Ship Inn had one of the most comfortable dining rooms of all the restaurants we visited during our recent road trip, and the view out onto the Columbia River was perfect on a cloudy July afternoon. The menu is chock full of my favorite food group "fried fish". I had a thick creamy chowder and some golf ball size... More

The restaurant is a bit dated and the food experience is fine if your expectation is fried food with not much flavor. Certainly wouldn't recommend it for someone who is looking for a more culinary experience. The fish was fresh though.

Dinner on the Columbia River, who could ask for more.. Service was fabulous and the food was awesome. Got to set and watch the ships go by. Would definitely go back again.

The fish and chips as well as the clam chowder were excellent. The portion size generous and the price the best we have found. We did have the senior fish and chips but it was plenty and under $6.00. We saw others served what they call a half order and it was a huge plate of food. Does not look... More

We live locally and when in town, and not wanting to stand outside for take away fish and chips, this is where we go. A local institution that has been around over 40 years and the owners are from the UK and not only offer the obligatory fish and chips but English fare also. You have the choice of halibut,... More
