This is my destination restaurant in Astoria. Chowder is outstanding, fish and chips, the English shepherds pie all good stuff.

First trip to Astoria going during the off season to look at some antique stores and have lunch. The big mistake we made was trying to get there without using the highway so it was more tiring than we expected. Fortunately we found a number of interesting antique shops selling things we were interested in. We enjoyed the walk around... More

I am a big fish and chips person. Always searching for the best. We have tried 5 or 6 restaurants in Astoria, one.good the others OK. Today we tried The Ship Inn. I will put it at the top of my list for the F&C in Astoria. Quaint and clean place with great river and bridge views. Service was prompt... More

Absolutely welcomed! Better prawns than wet dog who we also visited. Really friendly smiley staff. If we were local we would return. TOP MARKS!!!

We came back here because we remembered it was good last time we were in town. We ordered the full order of Cod which came with 6 pieces of fish and very few fries (maybe 10 steak fries, seriously there were very few). Some of the Cod was soggy instead of crispy. The price we paid was not worth what... More

This place smelled so bad of urine. The bathrooms are right next to dining room. We walked in & smell hit us, we passed the bathroom on way to be seated & smell just got stronger. We were seated but left.

Ive been here a few times always to eat the same thing. The full captains platter. Its sooo good, you get your monies worth. Unfortunately I hear they were sold off and closing its doors in a year or so. The views are so amazing, great place to get pictures or go for a walk after a delicious meal.

We had a late lunch here after visiting the Astoria column and the Maritime Museum. The fish and chips were great!

We visited this place around 1:30 p.m. on a Tuesday. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately. We were escorted to a table near the window with a great view of the Columbia River. Better than the view was the food. My wife and I each ordered the halibut fish and chips and a cold draft beer. Our... More

When I visit Astoria, this one of the first restaurant that I go to. Great views of lower Columbia River. Several choices of fish n chips, English cuisine, and other dinner selections. Very friendly service and atmosphere. Usually several selections of homemade pies which are a great ending to dining at this restaurant

Thank John P
