While attending professional development on Jacksonville's Southside, I found a break from the usual fast food lunch options. I found Beignets Caribbean Cafe to be a great choice. The service is prompt. My jerk chicken lunch special was delicious and filling. And the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place! P.S. - Where are the beignets?

I had been there when it was really Beignets and I actually had beignets. My last visit surprised me. Not much on the menu was appealing. I got something with rice that was OK. As we were eating, there was a lot of To Go business for their fried fish. Should have tried that.

This little place is like an inexpensive cafe in the working class parts of Kingston. Good meat patties, and fried plantains. The guy next to me was plowing into a big bowl of goat stew. Looked good. We were the only white people in the place, and the majority of the patrons were speaking Creole. It's the real deal.
