Visiting in Jacksonville and discovered a gem of a restaurant in The Blue Fish. Their happy hour is so much fun, a dozen fresh shucked oysters for $7 and I had an outstanding Osso Bucco off the bar menu for $6!!!!! The bartender Shannon is fantastic not only is one of the best bartenders in Jax, but remembers your drink... More

Wonderful experience. We were planning on another restaurant which turned out to be closed so The Blue Fish was recommended. Had two young granddaughters with us and though this is not the best choice for young children, the staff could not have been more accommodating to them. Loved the options of smaller or larger sizes. Great selection of fresh fish.... More

We came here to celebrate a special occasion and really enjoyed it. The food was good. We both got the smaller sized plate and it was just enough food to feel full but not over do it. I have the tune very yummy.

The food here is awful the restaurant smells even though its supposed to be in a better area loaded with finer dining. I will not waste my time returning

Oysters, Fresh Catch, House Specialties...everything I've ordered or tasted from friends plates have been pretty awesome. The atmosphere is choice and I love the neighborhood. Then maybe I'm partial since I once lived very close by. I wish I still did because I would be a regular to indulging in deliciousness and feeling at home. I can't say enough good... More

Great Server! Not an inexpensive place. Overall, the food: meh. The lobster bisque was just so-so. The Picky Eater had the whole fish (roasted) and I had the salmon. Both were okay, though terribly under seasoned. The calamari appetizer was excellent, though. We were so bored that we skipped dessert there and crossed the street to get it at Macarons... More

Went there this afternoon and had lunch. My hubs had grilled Mahi and I had shrimp and grits . Both were equally delicious and reasonably priced. Our server Austin was fantastic! He educated us on the local beer and we were very pleased with his recommendations. We brought our daughter who had Mac and cheese which was also great and... More

The service lagged at first but it was worth the wait. THE FOOD! House oysters are excellent & cheap, then the blackened grouper with lump crab over red beans, rice & Andoille sausage was better than New Orleans, maybe with the exception of Mr. B's Bistro but they use 5x the butter. You must go!

I took recommendation from my concierge and opted for bar seat. My server Amy, was very prompt. I ordered the Shrimp & grits, small plate. Extremely good. Honestly, the smaller size was more than enough but I could have consumed a bucket! Even the hot, fresh rolls didn't slow me down. Highly recommend in spite of rather long wait for... More
