Went the day before Valentine's Day... no mention of a Valentine's Day menu on their website. Arrived and got a Valentine's Day menu, which not only was very limited and didn't include anything I really wanted, but every item was $2 more than usual. Mussels...and Crab cake apps were very good, but the shrimp with pasta main was bland... the tomato cream sauce had zero flavor. Adding to the problem, the server never asked me if I wanted pepper or grated cheese (both which was needed) and there was no salt or pepper on the table due to Covid. Ordered a piece of cake for dessert... a small sliver, although very good, was $12. I spent a lot of money for an unmemorable meal and felt as though I was gouged. I probably would not return.More

My husband and I visited tonight, Feb 13, 2021 for Valentine’s Day. I got the Shrimp pasta. Half my shrimp were raw. The pasta tasted like cheap sauce I could have made better myself. They did comp the meal and offered to bring out cooked...shrimp but I was too grossed out. It has now been 6 hrs since dinner and I’m having indigestion and stomach pains. We will never be back there!More

Nice location in San Marco, Lovely Restaurant and Friendly Staff with comfortable seating. The wife had organic roasted chicken and fingerling potatoes and loved it. I had the Filet Mignon which was perfect. We brought our own wine ($40 corkage fee) and everything was great.

Lucas, Aaliyah & the cook (not chef) took great care of us. The whiskey sour was made perfectly. The clams were prepared just right. The burger was flavorful & juicy- all excellent

Ok,just so everyone knows, when my wife says Bistro, I walk. She talked me into this one and it is now my favorite place to eat. No lie, the best food you can eat and awesome selection of wine and top shelf drinks. Every bite...you take from anything on the menu is perfect. Unbelievably balanced taste, textures and presentation. It’s not just French cuisine. There is something for everyone. You have my word, you will not be disappointed.More

There were so many things wrong with a recent visit - I almost don't know where to begin. We were seated in a cramped booth RIGHT next to the kitchen, so during the entire meal I got to (had to) witness the scrambling staff as...they tried to keep up with a busy room. I also had to watch the sous chef (throughout the entire meal) spoon beef sauce out of a plastic To-Go container. Note to Staff: when you have an open kitchen, the meal service becomes a part of the dining experience. Are you aware that many guests are watching? When guests are watching, spooning sauce from a real sauce pan would be 10 times more appealing for the guest. In addition to the booth being extremely tight, the seat was connected to the seat on the opposite side, so when guests in the NEXT booth are arriving or leaving, we were bouncing and jostling in our tight space. Wow. It was sort of comical but not what I expect in an upscale restaurant. We experienced long waits for everything: the first appearance of our waiter - ordering a drink - ordering food - arrival of food. Note to Staff: when you are very busy and you don't have time to take a food order, at least get the guest SOMETHING to drink. Then - while we wait - we can peruse the menu with a nice cocktail or a glass of wine. But we sat - no cocktail - no wine - no waiter. It was as if it was this restaurant's opening night. We all ordered steaks - all ordered medium - and all were served RARE. Really? Any second-rate diner cook should be able to cook a piece of red meat to order. It's not that difficult. My Brussles Sprouts were cold. I was warned by the food runner that my plate was extemely hot: ummmmm.....actually, my plate was not even warm. When I dine at what is supposed to be a good restaurant, and paying top-dollar, I expect much better.More

Bistro AIX is one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville. There are many good restaurants here, but few rate as highly as Bistro AIX. I've dined here several times and everything on the menu has been top-notch. A nice touch is the bar overlooks the...kitchen, and watching the chefs is very fun. Steak tartare w/ quail egg, swordfish, salmon, chicken, steak frites, wine list, and dessert - it's all good. I can make a light dinner out of their steak tartare. Very attentive staff and creative bartenders. They have a killer Happy Hour that ends fairly early at 6:30 weekdays so go early.More

My family and I went here for a nice dinner to celebrate my nephews birthday and it was a TREAT! The service was delightful, the food was delicious (the mussels, oysters Rockefeller, and pizza are incredible) and the ambiance was perfect. Great wine and liquor...selections. I think they are under new management now because we had the best night at this place and the food exceeded previous experiences. It is worth the price, especially for a special occasion. I don’t think there are many places that have this type of cuisine and atmosphere like Bistro AIX. 5+ Stars!More

Mixed. Some people were obviously dressed up for some special occasion they were celebrating. However, tasteful casual would be okay. I would say that, for men, something like khakis with a button-up shirt or a golf shirt... More
