This was our first visit on the first Saturday of the New Year (2018). This place is in a recently built strip mall that features other (adjoining) eating fares (sandwich place, pizza place).
Parking is free & limited in the front but there is more in the back.
The lunch specials are every day (Monday through Friday 1100 til 1600 & Saturday & Sunday 1200 til 1600). I had the 3 Sushi Roll Special ($12.95) which included miso soup & a salad. There is also a 2 Sushi Roll Special ($9.75). My sweetie opted for the Lunch Box Special (& got the Chicken Teriyaki) ($10.95) which included a good portion of chicken, rice (white or brown), miso soup, a salad & a California roll.
Miso soup was excellent (not just broth, had cubed tofu & some green sea weed leaves, I think it was). The salad was iceberg lettuce, a cucumber slice & a cherry tomato. Ginger dressing was a bit heavy on the ginger (almost bitter-tasting it was so powerful). Sushi rolls were six pieces each. Both of us could not finish our meals & had to get take-out boxes for the remaining. I had an order of Gyoza to-go for my son (17) ($4.95) who said it was very good.
Menu is extensive. Hibachi options available & cooked in the back (no hibachi tables in the dining area). There is seating at the sushi bar (towards the back). Seats were comfortable & place was clean. Food came out rather quickly.
We will be back (maybe for dinner next time). I would add the photos I took but I do not see the option at the bottom to add them (maybe b/c this is a new restaurant that was not listed & I am the first to write a review). I will have to add another time.

Spent $28 dollars on my meal tonight. Philadelphia rolls are good but just like anywhere. Jaguar rolls were good and full of flavor, and the Beef Lo Mein was plain and not much meat but ok flavor. What little meat was in it was tasty and good. So i asked for shrimp sauce 3 times. With both my sushi orders and My Lo Mein order and i get one little container half filled which wasn't even enough for one order of sushi. Ill probably not order again since they are to cheap to give shrimp sauce for your meal even though it was requested 3 times on the order. 7/23/2020 Grub Hub Order

I really enjoy ordering delivery from Kimbe Asian Bistro. The food is excellent and always tasty. What keeps me coming back is that they staple my bag closed. Too many restaurants do not think of safety in that respect. In a time of a pandemic and mentally deranged people, the establishment is providing safety for their customers, as well as protecting themselves from litigation. Not understanding why more eateries do not think like this. I would never order food from a restaurant that does not secure my food.

Excellent food. Authentic cuisine and freshly prepared. The sushi is delicious but don’t stop at just the sushi. It is all good.

I feel bad for the other reviewers who didn't have a good meal at Kimbe. They must have caught them on a bad night or something. I've gone several times during the lunch hour and each time had some of the freshest salmon and tuna and other sashimi in the 4-county area (Duval St. Johns Nassau Clay). They have custom rolls, lunch specials, beer and sake, green tea, all the options in a nice cleanly decorated place. If you go and don't have some of the freshest sushi you'd ever had, I'll eat my hat. (not really) It is not cheap. They do offer delivery. Try it, sit at the bar and watch the chef spin up your favorites or a custom one of your creation.

KIMBE is not easy to spot, in a strip mall, but is is definitely worth looking for. Place has been open for about a year. They have great lunch options, which are served Bento style. They also have very good sushi and tepanyaki.
Place is normally not busy. They seem to do more business for take-out. But service is good and fast.

I made sushi at home better than this place.. I felt like gagging :(
Old tuna and too much sauce for the price... Its true if no customer in a place it means something.

My husband and I dined here for lunch today. We have had a takeout menus for a few months, but could not believe the prices for sashimi, sushi, special rolls, etc., and I mean this in the worst possible way. Nearly all rolls are over $12, minus the boring, rice laden, fake crab lunch rolls. We had calamari--it was hot, it is also from giant, squid so the rings looked like onion rings. It was so tough that it was nearly impossible to chew. AND, it was served with ketchup--that in and of itself was reason to leave. Than, we were brought the steamed shumai--except it was deep fried and looked remarkably like the dumplings one can purchase in bulk from a warehouse club. The coup came when I ordered the Mango Tango that arrived in a a bowl with one teaspoon of tuna, a few diced pineapple pieces swimming in a yellowish "sauce" with a quarter of a hard avocado slapped on top. Bento box was wilted lettuce, smelly salmon and a "roll" of rice w fake crab. Horrble at any price.
