Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere good. Came because if Groupon but have been here before. Last time was better. Not really authentic Italian food in my opinion. Warm bread with oil...no seasoning in oil. Just olive oil. Not butter offered. I asked and they brought it. We had Salmon Nutella. It was drowned in some kind of sauce,... More

On Sept 22nd 14 friends dined at Main Street Cafe in Patchogue NY. The adjoining tables were prepared in advance w tablecloths and in a desirable area. Jasper, Jasper's son and Danielle provided unbelievable attention and service! Appetizers arrived family style, dinner served family style and wine flowed when requested. The food was served hot and everyone agreed that the... More

Our waitress was nice.We were served right away. Unfortunately that was the only thing good. The Caesar salad wrap with shrimp was plain. Mostly iceburg lettuce not romaine. Not a lot of shrimp. Pasta salad on the side, very small. Was expecting cherry tomatoes, olives and a vinaigrette dressing but it was more mayo and pasta. Husband's seafood bisque was... More

Came here with a large group of family members for a late lunch celebration. We ate here previously many years ago and were impressed with the food. It appears they may have changed ownership as the menu had improved with a wide variety of choices with a more casual atmosphere and reasonable prices for the portion sizes served. Having children... Came here because we got a Restaurant.com deal. Good choice. Negatives: ordered fried calamari appetizer. They were out of it. How's that happen again n an Italian restaurant? Linguine was overcooked. Positives: Great sauce, terrific veal parmigian, very good chicken scarp. I'd go back only with a discount.

2nd time there. Great food; but this time, took 2 hrs to eat. Competed w/several large parties in the restaurant & the fact there were many show goers there. We should've been advised up front that it would take some time vs waiting & waiting. But I believe that to be an isolated incident.

No matter how you slice it, when it comes to a restaurant the quality of the food is what matters. The food quality here is very poor, particularly if you are used to eating at three- to four-star establishments. The seafood bisque was watery and lacked proper seasoning. The salad was mediocre at best and the chicken came out thick,... More

You can always tell a good restaurant by the time it takes you to choose a meal. The menu at Main Street is extensive and consistently superb. It's probably the best place in town for special occasions and family-sized dinners.

What a wonderful, hidden gem on Main Street in Patchogue. We started with bruschetta and clams casino - the sauce was delicious and we used the bread to mop up the sauce. The lobster ravioli was the best - so much lobster in the ravioli and in the sauce. The service was great, very family oriented but also classy. Top... More

While the food is really good, and the servers are good, I feel the place is very cramped and thus it becomes very loud. It sometimes feels like you are sitting elbow to elbow. They have a live singer who is great, but it just adds to the noisy sense of the place.
