Subpar Chinese food

Very average to below average food dishes with moderate pricing for chinese food, probably the worst potstickers I’ve ever eaten, better off getting frozen ones from Costco

AWESOME CHINESE CUISINE

Excellent food coupled with great service. Very efficiently served, asking all guests their choices of drinks, i.e. water in very clean glasses or green tea. Very courteous staff, served with genuine smiles. They even took one dish of the check that we ordered extra by error. They serve Halal Food too & that was what we ordered and got. This restaurant caters to online orders as well.

the food is good better than other local options. They deliver too, the food is always consistent and good. They have a great Singapore curry dish which is amazing.

Tasteless

Food had no taste. Poorly prepared. Will not return. The sesame chicken was not good. The beef was deep fried and weird.

There are better options locally

The place was empty but the Thai place next door packed and I had 2 hours where I need to work so I chose space over reliable food. Hot and Sour soup was ok. Walnut shrimp greasy and tasteless. Easily the worst I had in a long time. I asked for tea and received a huge mug with hot water and a teabag floating in it suspiciously. Rice was bland. I had to ask for chopsticks- they found some in a drawer. I had to ask for soy sauce. They found some in the kitchen. I left the food uneaten. When was the last time you did not eat your walnut prawns? They charged $2.50 for the "flower" tea. It's a bag not a flower. Tea is usually included.

A Gem of a find !

The food is excellent ! The vegetables are always fresh and glistening, but not at all oily. You could imagine that they must have thrown out any leaf or slice that wasn't perfect. The interior is nicer than the menu prices would lead you to think. My favorite is the "fish with ginger and scallions" which, like everything else, is always fresh. The service is pretty good too.

I want to love it but it's just not that great

This place is right near my house and even delivers but we only use it occasionally when we are so craving Chinese that we don't care about great quality. Some things are good, but most is just adequate. There are many better choices in the area.

Hard to find but well worth the effort

Probably rates right up there with the best of the best Chinese food I have had. The service was friendly and outstanding, food was excellent and more than plentiful, and the Resturant was spotless! Our waiter, Steve, was friendly and very attentative. We would return there in a heartbeat but, unfortunately, we don't live in the area..

Decent meal

Arrived here on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. This restaurant has only a handful of tables, but at this time of night, there was only one other table being used by a family of six people. It was hard to find this establishment since the outside sign is not illuminated in the evening. For those travelers who also find Amazing Wok hard to locate after dark, it is located in Suite H. The telephone number is (925) 736-1888. This place was clean, and all the staff were friendly. It closes, at least on Fridays, at 9:30 p.m. My girlfriend and I each had a main dish, and we each had a side of steamed rice. We only had water to drink. The total bill came to approximately $23.00, which includes sales tax. The food was delicious, and the service was quick. The portions of food served were huge! When in the Danville area, I will again eat at the Amazing Wok Chinese Cuisine restaurant.

Yummy Chinese food, reasonable price

Food is delicious and fresh. Restaurant is clean and services is fast. The person behind the counter is very friendly. I usually go slightly off peak to avoid wait. It a small restaurant.

Very tasty food with a reasonable price

I stopped here for lunch and was really impressed by the breadth of the menu, the tasty food and the great price. I have lived in the area for a year and this is easily the best-tasting Chinese food I have had. Stop in and check them out.

Tasty, fresh and reasonable

I've been coming here since they opened. Food is always fresh, tasty and hot. A good selection of dishes and friendly staff. Still lots of dishes to explore but here are a few of our favorites: Snow white fish Hot and sour soup Spinach and garlic sauce Amazing Wok's Style Pan fried noodles Any of the vegetable dishes are good. Take our orders are always piping hot when we pick them up.

best chinese foods at danville area

The key word here is AMAZING! Before we came here we wondered if the 4.5 Yelp rating was warranted. I can now say that it was not. It's under-rated! This is a 5 star place in every respect -- food, service, everything. This location has been a Chinese restaurant for as long as I can remember. None of them were memorable. This place is a real winner. Salt and pepper chicken wings, $9. Piping hot, fried to perfection (a real art), on a bed of crunchy noodles and minced, cooked red bell peppers. Just amazing. Mongolian Lamb, $12. Flavorful, packed with onions and green onions. Mongolian perfection. String Beans with Shredded Pork, $9. As soon as I saw that they use (the correct) Chinese long beans, not those Kentucky green beans that the faux dish uses, I knew that this would be good, and it was. Great sauce too. Braised Tofu with Mushrooms, $9. The description on the menu doesn't even say that this arrives on a bed of tender baby bok choy and includes a tasty sauce. Vegetable perfection. We couldn't be more pleased with this place. As another Yelp reviewer said, please patronize this great restaurant in a historically loser location (behind the Chevron station) so that they stay in business.

attentive staff and great foods from Amazing wok

We brought two youngsters for dinner. The attentive waiter immediately brought them colorful kid plates and cute kid's water glasses. The kids were impressed. We ordered chicken chow fun for the youngsters, the chicken with broccoli salt and pepper prawns and tea smoked duck with brown fried rice for adults Everything was delicious. The youngsters really loved the chow fun. Again the very helpful waiter served it to them, asking each who likes noodles? Who likes chicken ?who likes veggies? And he teased out favorite bits for each of the pint sized diners. This kind of attentive service is rare and the kids gobbled up their meal. Inexpensive and tasty - cooked and served by family that cares

Located in a strip mall ($ goes into food quaity and not landlord's pocket), this small family run resturant, turns out some very good dishes packed with flavor. Mom was cooking in the back and unlike many Chinese restaurants, all the incredients here were top quality and perfectly prepared. Everything we ordered except the steamed pot stickers were good (the dough was too gummy). Very clean and reasonable prices make it especially attractive to dine in...or to enjoy take out. We will go back.
