We haven't been here for a while, nothing specific, just didn't have a memorable experience the past couple of times. But we had family in town and after a visit to the Museum at Blackhawk we stopped here for lunch. Pleasantly surprised by our visit. Yes, service was a bit slow, but it was fairly early on a week day.... More

Good standard California Mexican chow. If you like caliente, try the diablo enchilada. Good service. Acceptably clean. Med to large portions. Good drinks. In up-scale Blackhawk plaza. Large dining room and super patio dining during nice weather...right on the duck pond. Great carnitas.

I expected a lot more from a Rodney Worth establishment. We came in while the hostess was dealing with a party. She sat them down, then came back and began to escort us to their table, without asking anything. When I said we had our own reservation, she said, "Just a minute" and then disappeared to do more for the... More

Serves good Mexican food. Portions are large, and , if you ate the chips, it's hard to finish your meal. Good for group parties, and great to sit outside when it is not cold.

The Prickly Pear Cantina describes itself as a California-Inspired Mexican restaurant, and the description is right on. My wife and I found it to be a contemporary restaurant with great service and some unique menu offerings. We started off with a round of margaritas - not the best we've ever had but pretty darn good. I followed with a large... More

We were super excited to try another restaurant from the Worth Group. Our favorite place is Peasant and the Pear which is an absolute amazing 5 star restaurant. We had our first date there and return every couple of months. Unfortunately the Prickly Pear is nowhere close to the same level. Business seemed steady and decided to sit in the... More

I had the Mexican Flag enchilada platter and it was very good. Each of the tree enchiladas offered something very enticing. The chips and salsa were very good as well. The service on the other hand was almost non-existent. They appeared to be staffed adequately, were decidedly not busy at all, but still couldn't help doing their best ghost impersonation.... More

I just ate here for lunch and it was horrible and slow. It took 30 minutes to get my water. Our food arrived before our drinks. It seemed as though all the tables experienced the same service. The. My burrito was dry. Will never eat here again.

Met a few coworkers here after work. Happy hour menu was good and the margaritas were great as well. The soft tacos were amazing. The extra guacamole we ordered was also fantastic.
