Just down the road from FDR homestead, this is a five star version of the classic American diner. The menu has all the classics, the food is great, and the staff is friendly. Definitely worth stopping in if diner food is your thing.

Stopped for lunch between FDR library/ museum and Vanderbilt mansion. Had hand mixed Cherry lime sodas, as well as several others, had me right there. Special was mixed salad with grilled chicken. Dressings tasted hand made, bread on the table was fresh, warm and delicious. Overall a definite go again place if ever in the area. Go and enjoy

When you think of diners as you want them to be and not as they usually are, this is what you get. The decor was fun and the food was fabulous in both selection and quality. My server was more formally dressed than I'm used to and I liked it. Portions are big so get your pastry to go.

Before I moved to Dutchess County I would travel 100 miles North on the Taconic to get to this Diner for these fries . Now I live within 2 miles and I still love their fries .

Loved the food #1. Atmosphere was very "diner-ish". Appreciated that there were Gluten Free options. No alternative milks for any cafe drinks or milkshakes however.

Okay, the highlight of this restaurant was the retro decor, which I presume is mostly genuinely mid-20th century diner decor. Our meals were fine, typical diner, service was prompt, although I missed the specials because only one of our menus had the specials sheet. I would skip the deserts, except the ice cream sundaes, which looked good. Otherwise, they were... More

the food here is delicious. I had the bbq pork sand with sweet pot fries. Hubby had the egg salad sand. Friend Don had the lunch express - chkn sal. with a house salad. Hit the spot. Hubby says the potato salad is top notch. Service was great. Kirsten, our server, is the best

We went there on our way through town. We wanted a real diner. This diner was authentic. Had to at least be from the sixties or seventies. The menu selection was great. A very wide selection of true diner food. They had malts and shakes too, which were very good. There were five of us there. We each ordered an... More
