The apple cheddar chicken sandwich is spectacular, and the burger was very, very good. Excellent service! Had to feed the parking meters but that seems to be the case all over Gettysburg.

We tried this place on our way to Lancaster - it was really a great find. We sat outside, and the service and food were both very good.

I had been to this cafe some years ago, (at least on the same spot). It was great then, and it was great last Monday when we stopped off for a late lunch. The hamburgers we had were superb, and the service was also efficient...and indeed charming. It helped in current circumstances that there was now a quite welcoming outside seating area at the back.More

Absolutely wonderful place. Pleasant, welcoming staff, great decor and casual ambiance, and fabulous food. I’ve had grilled vegetable sandwiches many places, but the Powerhouse at Food 101 is on another level. Add perfectly ripe avocado, fresh mozzarella, lots of different grilled veg (not loaded up...with onions and peppers like some), a nice light sauce, and wonderful bread and you’re really got something. My companion loved her perfectly cooked salmon on a well-executed Caesar salad, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his grilled ham special. And the fries are to die for. This will be our first stop when we return to Gettysburg next year.More

We stopped in here when we were in Gettysburg. I had read review about this place having gluten free food. My husband has celiac disease so it can be hard to go out to eat. They had gluten free buns so my husband could have...a real burger. I had a chicken sandwich and it was wonderful. All the flavors in the sandwich worked so well together. I did not feel the service was slow at all. If you want alcohol, you need to bring it with you. We will definitely stop in again when we are in that area.More

This restaurant had great review but no mention of service - so, my husband and I went for a late Sunday lunch. Not very crowded. We ordered a salad to stayer and 2 sandwiches. All the food came out at the same time - no...big deal but it was almost 35 minutes before we were served. The fries were tasty but not warm - at all. The sandwiches were warm - ish. Luckily the food still tasted good but make sure you have plenty of time to sit, wait, and eat.More

We had the cucumber salad with chicken, the turkey and cheese melt, the truffle parmesan fries and cauliflower 101. All items were fresh and delicious. Our favorite was the cauliflower 101. The reason we rated this restaurant a four was the service. We waited an...hour for our food when others were walking in, ordering takeout and getting served quickly. We watched other sit down customers leave after 15 minutes. Once we got our food, we weren't asked if we would like to have our drinks refilled. It's a small restaurant and the ownership might want to decide if they are committed to sit down dining or takeout. It didn't appear that the restaurant could handle both options.More

The food was delicious and the desserts are fresh baked. I think my salad was the best salad I've ever had. It was the orange blueberry salad. Don't miss this place

We stopped for dinner here on our first night in Gettysburg and the food was amazing. The restaurant is the very quaint and it was obvious to us that the food was thoughtful prepared. We loved the fried brussel sprouts. If you find yourself in...Gettysburg stop here for a meal…you will not be disappointed.More

Be prepared to wait but it will be worth it. The best food in Gettysburg without a lot of pretense. Fairly priced too.

We stayed at Fairfield, and wanted to order pickup for our dinner. The nearest good place, based on reviews, was Food 101. We ordered 3 pizzas: mushroom, sausage broccolini, primavera, and two asparagus salads. When I entered in 30 minutes, everything was ready. All pizzas...were good, and the salad was with freshest ingredients. I will definitely order from this place when I around next time.More

Tomato bisque with artisan bread and the Club 101 with chips. Soup was hot and plenty of creamy butter for the bread. The touch of avocado was an extra on the club and unanticipated:).

We had The Burger and the Applewood Bacon Chicken sandwich, both were excellent. House-made chips were also very good. Desserts were the apple crumble and flourless chocolate tort, again both were great. Service was friendly and quick, the place is spotless, the music great but...not intrusive. If we lived in the area this restaurant would be on our Favorites list.More

I wrote a review a year ago for Food 101 and have been back many times since. What can you say when a place offers fairly priced, wonderful food, day in and day out? Everything is fresh and flavorful. The service is consistently excellent. The...chef, Cory, brings his A game every day he is there. If you want fresh product, with unusual combinations on strongly familiar concepts (like the Food 101 BLT), you must check this place out. Great job team!!!More
