My son and I stopped here at random. Ice cream was excellent, Blood Orange Sorbet was refreshing. I thought it was a bit pricey, My son got two scoops, I got one, and it was $8. With that said, gentlemen who served us was friendly and it has the old school ice cream shop feel. The cannonball in the exterior... More

We love ice cream and our last couple of visits to Gettysburg, we've been sure to stop by the Cannonball Malt Shop. I usually get a banana split. The portions are huge, with generous amounts of toppings. The shop uses Turkey Hill ice cream, which I often buy for my own home, so I know I can count on the... More

The Cannonball has been around for quite a few years now. We like to walk into town to dine or have a treat. We have tried the ice cream here around 5 or six times over the years and it is always delicious. What made us stop going is that we have never had a friendly experience here. I'm sorry... More

My gf and I stopped here during a recent visit looking for some food and ice cream. When we walked in, the lady behind the counter hinted that they were cleaning the grill and such, so we decided to just get ice cream. She did ask us multiple times if we were sure we didn't want food. I had a... More

We stopped here for dessert and had a delicious double-dip homemade ice cream in a waffle cone, and a vanilla malt - both were excellent. Cute atmosphere, can sit outside and people watch too. Highly recommend!

A few friends and I went in 15 minutes before they closed. I hate doing that, but I figured for ice cream it would be an in and out trip. Well, the old lady who took our order made me feel like my ordering ice cream was an Inconvenience to her. Stabbing the buttons with a lot of Unnecessary force... More

My husband and I wandered into the Cannonball on a Thrusday evening. The smell of French Fry grease was so heavy in the air that our clothes and hair were saturated by the time we ordered two cones..I ordered mint chip ice cream and it tasted like the freezer, it was not appealing. my husband ordered a coffee cone and... The Malt Shop is on a main drag in Gettysburg and street parking was available when we stopped by. The staff were friendly and the portions were large. They had usual flavors to select from and nothing jumped out at us about the Ice Cream yet the servings were generous. You can eat there or take your treat with you.

Thank Tom D
