Went with a group of 8, we had reservations so it didn't take long to get in. I got the prime rib, which was delicious and worth the money. I know other members of my group were not impressed with the salmon or pork. The wine was way over priced as we paid $33 for a bottle of twist top... More

My husband and I ate at the Dobbin House at a recent stay in Gettysburg. We had a drink in the tavern and dinner in the dining room. Eating in a historical building was a fantastic experience. The drinks and food were fairly priced and were good. I had the salmon and my husband had a steak. Both were cooked... More

Took our group of 15 into the basement for lunch. Love it down there as its a spooky atmosphere and fun. My only complaint would be portion size. Food is good but you could get a bit more for the price. Overall a good experience. Thank you.

Food was very good but far surpassed by the service. Our waitress was lively and engaging and just so pleasant which, in turn, made out meal that much more enjoyable.

I was afraid of it being a tourist trap but I loved it. First time in Gettysburg and my husband and I were chasing history and we found it at the Dobbin. We ate by candlelight in the tavern after dark. Heavenly. Small, dark, and fairy crowded, but so much fun! We arrived around 7:30 p.m. on a Friday night... More

Fantastic! In every way! Food, atmosphere, just everything! Staff in period dress. Building is a museum in itself. Must eat at if you're in Gettysburg!

This was a great meal! My husband and I ended up here by accident and we had an excellent meal. We did not have a reservation so we ended up eating on their patio. The service was just as good as it would have been inside and it was a nice evening so we didn't mind a bit. The food... More

We had a late lunch in the tavern with plans to come back for dinner one night. Built in 1776 it still holds the charm of bygone days. The food was great. If you like onion soup you have to order it here. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful in making our selections. A must stop restaurant.

My family and I went here for my birthday on the evening of 2nd October. The food and atmosphere were divine! I had clam chowder as a starter, which was quite nice. But my main was absolutely scrumptious! I had the crab cakes with a baked sweet potato. Deeeelish! Also, I had the pumpkin martini, which was like pumpkin pie... More

Our Globus tour group was here as part of our America's Historic East tour. The tavern was attractive and the staff were pleasant. However, my pork rib meal was tough and inedible. I was very disappointed.
