I go to Gettysburg as much as I can. I have always made this my first stop. I always get the same thing. I haven't been here in three years and was stoked to be going but I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The sandwich I always got changed from a bun to a pita and Th... More

Great food and terrific service. I had the best crab cakes I have ever eaten. Loved the atmosphere in the bedroom dining room.

We enjoyed eating dinner in the tavern downstairs, loved the history represented by the old stone building, the fact that it was an underground railroad hideaway, and it was fun to see waitstaff dressed as they would have in the mid-1800s. The food we had, while certainly acceptable, was however not notable. I would go there for the pleasure of... More

We held a military reunion banquet, at the Dobbin House, with 70 guests. The food was the best any of us had, during our Gettysburg stay. The staff members were outgoing and helpful. Three of us needed a place to change clothes for an entertainment skit. Jan, our banquet manager, was great in accommodating us. We had an inclusive buffet,... More

We have been to Gettysburg a few times now and somehow never managed to try this. We made it a point to finally try it, and I could not be more pleased. Initially I was a bit reluctant to descend the stairs to get to this part of the restaurant. The Springhouse Tavern and Restaurant is located in the cellar... More

We enjoyed burgers in the lower level ( cellar) and it reminded us of dining 100 years ago. It was quaint and the candles made it seem like old times. And the gettysburg " feel" I would reccommend. Prices were average. Good food. The chips seemed homemade

Very good value, great food, 18th century historical interest. Convenient to town and Visitors Center. Dined in lower tavern. Friendly service. Parking at busy times can be a problem, we found the last spot on a Monday evening! Very popular resaurant.

This restaurant has wonderful atmosphere. It was so neat to dine by candle light in a home with so much history. The servers are in period dress, to add to the appeal. I would recommend the crab cakes! It's a little pricey, but well worth the extra money for a once in a lifetime dining experience. Ask to see where... More

So glad we made the spring house tavern our first dinning experience this trip. It set the tone for a wonderful weekend. Kind server, food perfectly done and a stealer location. Doesn't get much better than the Dobbin House.
