We stopped for dinner at Mamma Ventura and had a great meal. Our server was prompt and knowledgable about the menu and the wine list. He was the only wait staff the night we were there and he never seemed to miss a beat, even with a number of tables going at the same time. Our meal was well paced... More

You can't visit Gettysburg without having a delicious Italian meal at mamma Ventura's. Open Monday through Saturday – reservations for five people or more only however there's never more than a 15 minute wait. Small bar with great drinks to enjoy during your wait time. Wait staff is very knowledgeable of the food, friendly and attentive. Traditional italian food, pizza,... More

We normally dine here once or twice a month. The found is always good and the service is excellent. We like the pasta fishes and the mussels this time of the year are large and sweet. I often think of the atmosphere as one would find on a secondary street in New York City... Cozy and classy.

This place has really good Italian food. Do yourself a favor and try something other than pizza or spaghetti and meatballs. I'm sure these are good here but they offer so much more. Try the carbonara or risotto. Excellent house pour Chianti. Carlos our waiter was very good.

My husband & I stopped for a late lunch (the times listed on TA were only for the pub). It was fantastic! I took advice from another reviewer & tried the shrimp scampi. It was great, especially if you love garlic. My husband had cheese fries that were great & Stromboli. Good size portions, great service! We were glad we... More

If you are looking for excellent Italian that will make you say "Mama Mia!", this isn't the place to go! However, if you are looking for average Italian after a long day of seeing the sights and are just hungry, this will satisfy the hungry tourist. The wait staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food was average.

Stopped by for a quick dinner "to go" after a workshop and received great service while waiting. The dinner was enough for two and absolutely delicious! Nice surprise!

Stayed at Gettysburg hotel and One Lincoln the hotel restaurant was too busy to even acknowledge I walked in. Went here instead. Shrimp scampi was great. Salads are pre-made and in a fridge with a solo cup for dressing. If they changed that, everything would have been perfect. BUT, the food and service were excellent!.

My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised with the best Italian meal we have had outside of NYC or Boston (maybe even better than those places too) when we stopped in for dinner at Mamma Ventura. We ordered an antipasto, to share (delicious) and my wife enjoyed the eggplant parmesan while I went for the Zupa de Pesce. Amazing!... More

We got in without an issue on a Saturday evening. I had a chicken salad and the husband had a pizza. Both were great. The salad reminded me of something I'd get at my grandmother's house. Prices were pretty reasonable for the basics. Lots of mixed reviews on the marinara but it was really tasty.
