After visiting the battlefield and visitor's center, we wanted to enjoy a nice meal that was not a chain restaurant. This place was recommended by a local and we really enjoyed it. It's in an old building and it's a really cool pub, historical atmosphere, exactly what we hoped it would be. The pulled pork sandwich was good and my... More

This was our second time eating at Garryowen's Irish Pub. We enjoy eating here while visiting Gettysburg. My husband and I split the cheese board and (I believe it's called) the whiskey sausage sandwich. We ordered the peppercorn sauce to go with the French fries. I also had a cup of their chowder... Everything was wonderful!!! We will be returning... More

Great atmosphere. Enjoyed live music and a delicious beer. Food was also great. Potatoes were a little undercooked, but the service, food selection, and atmosphere made up for it.

I really wanted to like this place, but it was very average. I had a Rueben and fries. They were both very dry. My husband liked the onion soup and thought his sandwich was just OK. We had to constantly ask for more water. The building is beautiful.

My husband and I were spending a week-end in Gettysburg and a friend of his told him that we needed to eat here. Thank goodness we did. Neither of us had ever eaten at an Irish restaurant before so we weren't sure what to think but it was delicious. I ate the beef stew and he had the reuben. Both... More

We went to this pub to listen to the Irish music on a Sun. The Irish tunes played by one man (Irish accent) playing a guitar and one woman playing a violin were amazing. I think they play with whoever shows up on that particular day. There was a wood burning fireplace behind them, which added to the atmosphere on... More

We enjoyed our dinner. The food was good and the prices fair. I had the Rubin Sandwich and my husband had the fish and chips. Both were delicious. I loved the decor. It was very "homey" Would definitely eat there again

We had a fantastic meal and good beer at this pub. Salmon was done perfectly, fish and chips delicious. The beef stew was good. Our server Matt was wonderful. The best part....no wait time!

We were looking for places to eat while we were in Gettysburg, and this restaurant got very good reviews, deservedly so. We made reservations about a week ahead of time for a Sunday meal. We were particularly attracted to the fact that Irish music would be played during the afternoon. The food was great and service excellent, but it was... More

My husband and I moved to Gettysburg 6 months ago. We could not get into the GaryOwen until late October. We have been there about 5-6 times since. (With friends and just us, a two-some.) The food is always REALLY well prepared and nicely presented. I've had the Irish Nachos, Shepard's Pie, Beef Stew, Fish & Chips. All have been... More

Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
