We chose this restaurant at the last minute. First concern was the drink specials on the table that looked yummy. I chose one that had red wine as one of the ingredients along with pear liqueur and vodka. I was told that that cocktail wasn't available because they were out of the red wine. Really?? Seems like something easy to substitute. Actually the server wasn't quite sure about the whole reason that the cocktail wasn't available but he said it was the wine. Second concern... my husband's meal was delicious - some type of chicken croquette. He was very happy with it. My meal on the other hand was a full-size Caesar salad with salmon. The salad was like something I throw together at home. The Romaine was barely cut up, the parm was what you get out of a package, the dressing was just okay. One Lincoln has lovely Ambience as you sit and look at the square of Gettysburg and it's appears to be a restaurant with high standards He was very happy with it. My meal on the other hand was a full size Caesar salad with salmon. The salad was like something I'd throw together at home. The Romaine was barely cut up, the parm from a plastic bag, the dressing Bland. Third concern...  we were both appalled that the salad dressing is served in a little Styrofoam container.  Environmentally, in my opinion,  styrofoam needs to be  excluded from all service industries, but in a fine restaurant it just seemed really weird. And finally  we had to ask for bread  and the server seemed surprised that we didn't already have it as if maybe somebody else was going to bring it out. A little basket of bread should be a no-brainer and shouldn't have to be requested. One Lincoln has lovely ambiance and it appears to be a restaurant with high quality standards but based on our experience it was hit or miss. I write reviews to give managers feedback on what can be improved. Based on my husband's meal, we would go back but would expect better, especially for the price.

My friend and I were seated by the fireplace. It was a nice seating selection on a cold, leap year day. Our menu selection featured lunch only and we were prepared for this. She got a brisket sandwich that she absolutely loved and would go back again for, it came with waffle fries ($12). I opted for the crab cake with corn fritter (came out as a small pancake) with both sitting on tarter sauce ($12). My lunch was good and the crab cake wasnt filled with filler. With that said, my meal was rather light to hers in comparison and probably would of liked to see a small mixed green salad or something else on the plate as I was still hungry after eating. The bathroom was a hike and I literally had to leave the restaurant and walk a small distance to get too (make note of this if you must use the restroom frequently or have a small child with you).

Our party of 10 went for breakfast at 8:00 on a Th in January. There was one other table with guests at that time. We were seated quickly and waitress was friendly enough. When we asked if we could change one ingredient on a menu item (cinnamon pancakes to chocolate chip), we were told there are no changes to the menu. (not very customer friendly). After what seemed like a long wait for our food, the waitress brought our food out 2 plates at a time over the course of 15 minutes. It almost felt like she cooked two meals, ran them out, then went back and cooked the next two, etc. By the time the last people were served, the first were already done eating. Food was pretty good but hard to enjoy.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am sorry to learn of your service issues, which made it hard to enjoy breakfast. This is not typical feedback for us and is not an example of the service we train for and pride ourselves delivering to all our guests and for this, I apologize. We always take special requests into consideration and check with the culinary team if possible. We've shared your feedback with our teams as a training opportunity. We do hope that you'll give us another chance the next time you're in the area for a meal. John Berndt General Manager

Went for brunch with my husband and I was looking forward to the online menu. Instead had to wait to be seated while there was nobody else there. We were seated for a 10 minutes without silverware or a menu. Then when the server came (who was very nice) , she had to tell us the menu due to restrictions on the menu due to COViD-19. I understand there are limits on what they can get in the area... so I didn’t mind. Then 70% of the listing was seafood... we don’t eat it but still had a couple other options. My husband ended up ordering this salad with prosciutto and a mozzarella ball on top — he said it was a C- and water it because he was hungry. (It ended up being awkward, small and $20.00 — which was not a price that we expected). I was thinking it would be $13-15. Then, I ordered the short rib flatbread which came with short rib. Scrambled eggs and cheese. It also came with an overwhelming amount of salt— I mean it was so salty it was almost inedible but I was so hungry I was willing to eat it. We left hungry and dissatisfied. Overall, I would not recommend this place and if you want to save your time and money, I would eat elsewhere. Later that day we ate at a burger place called blue and gray bar and grill and it was so much better ( I would totally recommend that place).

My husband and I had a special dinner and breakfast at One Lincoln as part of our recent getaway package at the Gettysburg Hotel. For dinner we both had the superb Chicken Kiev and my husband's dessert was a large piece of tasty cheesecake with fresh berries. Breakfast was a very generous serving of delicious smoked salmon with cream cheese & bagels, and bowls of perfectly ripened berries, fresh pineapple, cantaloupe and melon. The restaurant was clean and servers were friendly, courteous and thoughtful. Amanda served us breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed and also took the time to chat with us about the changes that have taken place to buildings and businesses on the square over the years. Our server at dinner also took the time to retrieve our dinner and breakfast vouchers from the front desk of the hotel when we realized we hadn't picked them up. We definitely recommend One Lincoln and we plan to return on future trips to Gettysburg.

Ok so let me start with the service. The service was great in all aspects, the appetizers were not great we got the hummus and pita chips and stuffed mushrooms. Pita chips were like hard stale bread, hummus was good but could have used some oil. The stuffed mushrooms you got 4 for 10.00 and two were size of a 50 cent piece and 2 were the size of a nickel maybe a dime and didn't taste that great. Main meal, steak was good, salmon was ok they ran out of crab so no crab cakes or no crab Mac and cheese, or crab stuffed scallops and couldn't make the Bolognese sauce for linguine Bolognese. Not very impressed by the food, only shinning light was the service.

My wife and I saw One Lincoln on Google. I loved their menu items. It looked great. We arrived and were seated. We noticed there were only four guest in the restaurant. Once we saw the menu, it was a complete let down to see they only had a few menu items. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder, which they had not put on the menu and had made by mistake. It was actually pretty good, once you got past the over-cooked clams. I also ordered the crab Mac n cheese. When it came, it tasted like powdered cheese mixed with tap water. It wasn't creamy. It was tasteless. The waitress snatched the check, and shook her head after I told her I didn't want it. The manager was rude. I took my wife to Wendy's because her Onion soup was disgusting. We just wanted some good food, is that too much to ask??

We went here as guests at the Gettysburg Hotel for dinner. They had a limited menu. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger just as it was on the menu. I got a burnt cheeseburger without bacon. I also ordered onion soup. The onions were so charred in the soup that it took over the flavor of the soup. My husband ordered the scallop special which he said was ok. He attempted to order from the draft menu that they had up, however, three of the items were unavailable. Shouldn't they remove them from the menu? I asked about breakfast the following morning and they told me that they do not have enough staff for breakfast. We did not return here during our stay.

I seldom leave bad restaurant reviews, but this was a doozie of an experience. Be aware that you can't make reservations for large-ish groups for this restaurant via OpenTable, you have to call. The hotel itself does not take reservations and of course when the restaurant is open, staff are busy. I left VM for a reservation for 7, and they called back to confirm it in a voice mail. When we got to Gettysburg I stopped in to confirm. They had lost the reservation, and the manager was unapologetic/unimpressed when I showed them the text of the VM. They offered us a time two hours earlier, which left out one of our family flying in, but we had to take it (Apple Festival Weekend). When we arrived, they had lost THAT reservation but seated us. Their manner was contemptful and dismissive. The food was passable except for the staff member that got risotto. It came out as a 1/2 quart of what looked like grey oatmeal, no greens or sides. My husband got filet which was good but it came out with what appeared to be frozen mixed vegetables from a bag. We were not offered coffee or dessert. The waitress was fine, except for that.

Checked-in for our reservation and we were handed an "alternate" menu, showing us the only items avaialble: Caesar Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich, Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich. That is it. It was too late to make any other plan at 7:30 pm on a Saturday in Gettysburg, so what could we do? The food was marginal. The cocktails were bad, my wife sent her martini back. The waiter asked if she wanted olives and she said yes, and he asked - do you want it a little dirty? meaning with a little bit of olive juice, and she said OK but this was like a glass of brine with a splash of gin in there. WTF. The waiter felt bad and they told us it was because of "food supply chain shortages" but I'm sorry that is something all restaurants are faced with and a better managed restaurant would have figured out how to handle it by now. In fact, the other restaurants around Gettysburg were doing okay - we had a much better meal at The Pub & Tavern across the street the night before.... AVOID!!!

We ate at One Lincoln on 9/25. Restaurant atmosphere is very nice, bar area is nice. Staff was excellent. Food was OK. My husband ordered the Onion Soup, he said it was onion broth with cheese. All our other appetizers and entree’s were fine. Not exceptional. Ordering wine by the glass is confusing. They have a wine list, and if the wine you want is between a certain price you can get a glass. Or they have house pours. They really push to order a bottle. I drink wine, my husband drinks beer. I just wanted one glass of wine. After dinner we asked about desert. Only to be told they don’t offer deserts! Wow!!! So we asked to speak with the Manager to ask why?? Told he wasn’t in the restaurant. So we took our money elsewhere and had an awesome desert!!

We went to One Lincoln (Food and Spirits) for dinner and really enjoyed our meals of rigatoni pasta and of duck. Husband got a rather large piece of the duck meat which was very moist, and my rigatoni was one of the best I've had for a meal. Their wine selection was also quite good, and we both enjoyed the merlot wines we had with our meals.

I was there for breakfast Aug 6 2022.. There were 2 people in the entire restaurant this was at 8 am. I had to wait to be seated while the 3 girls stood in the doorway talking to each other. I finally get seated only to be told my server will be right back. After a wait Alexis took my order. Came back and filled my coffee cup half full , I had to ask her to fill it up . My food came out, breakfast potatoes were dry the sausage and biscuits were good the eggs were not and she brought out the butter for my toast after I'm half done with my breakfast. She didn't come back to my booth and I had to ask a different server for more coffee . I ordered wheat toast to go . Some man brought it to my table. Once again my terrible server Alexis was no where in sight . I had to go in the kitchen to get her together my bill so I could leave , she was in there eating eggs. My 1 person bill was $ 22.79. I left my terrible server Alexis a 21 cent tip. Informed the front desk of the worst sever I have come across in years , she just smiled . We are staying in the Gettysburg Hotel for 4 days . This was my 1st and last time eating here..

Some good options on pricing and food types. We had burgers that were cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. Crab Mac and cheese was a bit bland but not too bad. Staff was super friendly and the vocalist had some nice background tunes from the adjoining room. We would return!

We really enjoyed our dinner sitting outside on the square at One Lincoln. We shared a burger and a salad. The wait staff was super sweet and attentive. We also noticed the amount of cleaning that went into flipping tables due to Covid, which was great to see! The key lime tart for dessert was delicious-really tart, just enough sweet. The cocktails were also really well made and refreshing! We will be back!
