We went here for our anniversary dinner and the food was the best in Gettysburg we ate many places while we were here but this one tops them all by far. Stephen the waiter was excellent. Quick service and super friendly. Don't miss this restaurant while in town or make it a trip and just come here for dinner A+++... More

We stayed at the Wyndham Gettysburg a couple of years ago, and absolutely loved having breakfast at 1863. On my most recent trip, although I was staying in Hanover, I made a special trip to Gettysburg just to have breakfast there again. So worth the trip! The atmosphere is bright and cheery, the staff are pros, and the food is... More

Our family dined at 1863 after a long flight followed by a long drive so we were settled for the in house restaurant at Wyndham Gettysburg...we were sure glad we did! The hostess Linda greeted our family and promptly sat us...she even kept a personal eye out for me as I was lagging behind my family back in the room.... More

The restaurant is conveniently located within the Wyndham. A pleasant dining experience and wonderful food. Linda, the hostess, highly recommended the filet. She did not steer us wrong. It was done perfectly accompanied by buttery mash potatoes and perfectly cooked asparagus. Stephen was our server and was very attentive. We were not disappointed with deciding to stay at the hotel... More

The 1863 Restaurant put out an excellent breakfast. Eggs cooked to order perfectly, bacon nice and crispy, great hash browns and a really good cup of coffee. Exceptional coffee actually. The server east polite and fast. One of the better hotel restaurants.

This is a very nice restaurant that is not stuffy. We each had something different for breakfast and all enjoyed our meals very much. We'll definitely be back.

A wonderful relaxing dinner with friends. Food was fresh and beautifully presented. Natasha, the hostess, was very helpful and, Sheila, our server, was spot on with what ever was needed. Janet was right on cue to refill water glasses. We will return!!

Linda and Tania were fantastic hosts. The food is way above average for the area, and much less "touristy" in nature than the rest of Gettysburg. The attention to detail over my four days in the hotel is what made everything so great. The restaurants downtown are far more oriented to an historical experience rather than a dining experience -... More
