Nothing short of huzzah. The foods were excellent with beautiful presentation. Our server Nikki was helpful and knowledgeable. The Maitre_d set the tone gracious and warm. The breads especially the rosemary warm.rolls .... Corn chowder my partner had the vegetarian and I crab based. A welcome start. The picture of her Greek.salad says a lot. The salmon addition was just... More

Our dining experience was excellent. Linda at the front desk was very gracious and made us feel welcomed. Our waitress, Nikki, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Kudos to the kitchen. My filet mignon melted in my mouth and my husband's prime rib was full of flavor. The fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes were delicious as well. Thank you to all!

A recent lunch at 1863 was pleasant and well served. The restaurant was nearly empty, which shouldn't happen because it is such a good choice. the crab cake was excellent and attractively served, and my friend enjoyed the cheese steak as well. Our server was attentive and returned to offer refills of water and coffee. Remember to save room for... More

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly waiter and hostess. My fish entrée was delicious and so were our cocktails. I had a gin and tonic and my husband had a mojito. The only recommendation I could make is to the chef in regard to my husband's chicken entree which he said was too salty. I loved the white... More

Was going elsewhere and found quite favorable reviews of this place. The decor, seating and wait staff were all wonderful. Felt great to be in such surrounds after a long travel day. Food was excellent, if a bit pricey for the area. well, maybe very expensive for the area, but I don't think there is anything comparable. Well worth it.

Overpriced, mediocre hotel food. Look elsewhere. This was for the breakfast. The buffet is $17, but you could order off the menu and pay only a small fee of $11 for a dry waffle. Your choice.

We stayed at the Wyndham Gettysburg a couple of years ago, and absolutely loved having breakfast at 1863. On my most recent trip, although I was staying in Hanover, I made a special trip to Gettysburg just to have breakfast there again. So worth the trip! The atmosphere is bright and cheery, the staff are pros, and the food is... More
