We for brunch on a Saturday morning and it did not disappoint. This is my 2nd time there and I will go back.
The hostess was able to change our reservation from inside to outside with a limited wait. Our server was quick and very...attentive and so sweet! It was our anniversary and she brought us champagne! It is the little things that really make an experience.
The cheese board was out of this world. Absolutely delicious! with a combination of cheese, crackers and fig spread, it was a perfect amount to share. The crab omelet was fantastic! Fluffy and packed full of crab meat and mushrooms!
If you're looking for a top notch bloody mary, Urban Farmer is the place for it. Spicy and delicious. The people watching is also amazing.
Urban Farmer made our anniversary one to remember! We will definitely be back!More
I only had lunch at The Urban Farmer - which is accessed both from the street and directly from inside The Logan Hotel. The lunch menu was salads and sandwiches and I selected a salad with salmon on top. The lettuce was fresh and crisp...while the salmon was a bit over-cooked and dry. Not the best.
What was odd was the sort-of "farmer" decor. This is a downtown, major city restaurant. Maybe I'm missing something but I didn't get the farmer thing. Servers wore a sort-of farmer costume and it just seemed so out-of-synch with the general location and the attachment to the sophisticated The Logan Hotel. The atmosphere was cold and sterile to my eye - and nothing like a warm farmhouse (which is what I imagined they were trying for).More
Excellent service, superior food, knowledgeable staff, our waiter Tim was very professional and made my kids laugh. I would visit again on my next trip to Philadelphia. I highly recommend this steakhouse, they’re excellent.
We were visiting from out of town and were blown away by the food, service and ambiance here!
We didn’t make reservations and Carl at the front scored us a table at the last minute and we were very thankful. Drew was our waiter and...was extremely attentive and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Byron was our expeditor and was also very friendly and attentive and brought our amazing food that was very flavorful and beautifully displayed.
We were so happy with everything and wanted to share so that others can share the same great experience. Bravo! Can’t wait to return!More
This place is shockingly uneven given its price point. It seems like there’s no clear vision from an ownership point of view.
Let’s start with the strengths:
Really Great cocktails - A+.
Really nice Caesar salad though they shouldn’t give you 2 anchovies and make...you pay $2 for extra - cheesy move.
The ability to do a steak tasting plate and compare grass fed, prime and aged steaks side by side is cool.
Now the negatives:
The dining room feels a bit like a Hilton breakfast room. It’s sterile, overly big, with random neon and pop music playing (at $75+ a dinner, it’s very weird).
The wine: almost completely PA wines, which, sorry I’ve been to many local wineries, are just plain bad. And here they are charging $18 a glass for wine that should be $4 - seriously. What on earth. At least provide choices!
The steaks: great quality I’m sure, but cooking temperatures were very uneven and they clearly didn’t make it quickly from grill to table (both a must at a high end steakhouse), and they just plopped them on giant white cheap plates. Imagine an $80 filet plopped on a plate 10 times it’s size with one drab herb sprig.
Service: really uneven. We kept being forgotten about. Not much excuse at that price point.
Overall, unless ownership cares enough to come up with a clearly curated vision you should not give it your time and money.More
This was, I believe, the fourth time we've eaten here - we keep going back bc the food and drinks are so good, the service is great, and the tables are spaced far enough apart that we can have a conversation in regular voices. Our...table of 6 started with the charcuterie board, then had various steaks, eggs, and salads for brunch, along with many of the featured cocktails. Everything was very well-made, delicious, and we were not hurried through our meal - I think we sat there for 2 1/2 hours eating and talking. A very reliable good meal in a lovely room with great service - what more can you ask for?More
