Live in Havertown ,been out of South Philly for 25 years now. When I`m in town ,these days ,LaRosa is my stop for great pizza. Can`t be beat . Even tops Celebre`s .

Very good thick crust pizza. I am usually more a fan of NY style crust, but this was very tasty. The crust is somewhat chewy, but I think that's how thick crusts generally come out.

This is the best pizza in town. I order frequently for all my staff. They are always on time when placing an order. Awesome. I have eating their pizza for years.

My last review was bit harsh, yeah the male staff was rude, the mean was not just late.. it was forgotten about..LOL..but hey for all the years I been getting this delish square pie..its been pretty awesome.. I do think it has NOT been what...it was.. I don't know if there is mgmt. is different, etc also im finding the sauce (gravy) a little bit more sweet than years past..but All in all this pizza is like what my aunt or grandma would make the potato pie is out of this world.. the dough the base is cooked nicely, you can ask for the pie to be thinner or the regular Sicilian kind of pie. Soo.. i'll give it my best more on their good day..we all have bad days.. even reviewers..HahaMore

Replacing my glowing review of one of my fav pizza places.. old school like grandma square pizza but lately i think is this under new mangement?? something wrong here..in quality & Staff is dim bulbs ..placed an order at 2:45 and basically no pizza ..called...them at 5:07 The guy is like what pizza? I said I talked to you!! u took the order..etc... He's like oh guess someone (um maybe him LOL) forgot!! This from a place I been order from for 25 yrs I think..but they sound confused, maybe understaffed, .Missing the usual girl who manned the phones..with her accent now they have a ditzy crew doesn't recognize the street name etc etc. and this on a Tuesday Nite its not Friday nor a weekend! So going from an excellent review to poor. im wondering if its under new owners or are they losing it ..pizza also is not the quality these past months so it all makes me think either this is going downhill or someone else at the helm.More

La Rosa's is a hidden treasure in South Philadelphia, cash only business that offers various slices of pizza and whole pies. The best part of a La Rosa's slice of pizza is the crust. The slices are $2 and a small extra amount for any...toppings. Sometimes you may find exotic (in my opinion) toppings like thin sliced potatoes on a slice. Don't forget this is a cash only business. Also, I saw a sign that says fresh baked bread, but not sure how often she sells the fresh bread.More

this pizza is amazing! we've tried just about every pizza place in South Philly and keep going back to La Rosa's. you definitely won't be disappointed! It tastes more like homemade pies than any other generic pizza place around.

Love this pizza its just so tasty, it's square shaped, sauce is a bit on the sweet side but heavy with it more like a marinara type. This is what pizza tasted like and looked like back when my mom and aunts made it. They...just do pizza here and they do it good i think they are underated when they do best pizza awards.. I've been told their potato pizza is to die for as well. My only thing is i am not crazy for the location on broad and snyder..wish they would relocate..it's not the cleanest area these two blocks.. but..hey..try not to think about it and enjoy!! LOLMore
