Many times I feel shortchanged on prix fix menues. Not here. The food was delicious and plentiful. It is BYO and they have really good glasses. They know how to handle wine and bottles. Stephen took great care of us. One is gluten intolerant and another is allergic to shellfish. Even with it being a prix fixe menu he went... More

I always heard great reviews about Pumpkin Restaurant, but on 11/5 all 4 of us finally ate there. This small BYOB, slightly off the main downtown Philly streets, earned all the accolades with its small menu that was great for all of us. First of all, we did not feel crowded despite the small size, and the noise level was... More

My wife took me here for my birthday and we really enjoyed our meal. This is a small venue so reservations are a must. Tables are close together and the room can get loud. With that said we had a great experience here. Everyone was very friendly. Our waiter was very helpful and made some recommendations. We had the tuna... More

Stop reading and make your reservation now! The food here was fabulous! We brought a few bottles of wine to accompany our meal and ordered everything from appetizers to desserts. Although it was a little pricey, it was well worth what we spent on it!

We came for the Sunday fixed price dinner with luggage in tow because we had to catch a train. Even though it is small restaurant they were so accepting. Loved it was a BYOB with no fees. The food was excellent, perfectly presented and just the right portions. Very creative dishes. The ambiance was cozy with a touch of casual... More

Went here for restaurant week and we had a fantastic time. The ingredients tasted so fresh for everything they made. Definitely a can't miss restaurant. It's a little walk from center city, but on a nice night it's not a problem. Definitely one of the better restaurants in Philadelphia.

I have been to Pumpkin with my dear wife but this was a night for colleagues to get to know each other. As always the service was quiet elegance and the dinner was spectacular. I was amazed at how easy it was to talk and engage our table without interruption or excessive noise. So many of our small favorite BYOs... More

Last night was my first visit to Pumpkin and it did not disappoint! It only took so long for me to visit because I was turned off by the fact that it's CASH ONLY -- but plus side is that it's BYOB no corkage fee. We didn't even realize it was restaurant week, we were hoping for the Sunday prix-fix... More

Intimate BYOB with a small menu that usually features at least one fresh-water fish cooked to perfection. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time for peak times and holidays. Definitely some French influence. A great choice for those with refined palates who are willing to spend a bit extra.

Stop what you're doing right now and go make a reservation for dinner at Pumpkin. This was without a doubt one of the best meals we have ever had. We had the Cavatelli appetizer that was an appropriately sized starter and very tasty! We then moved on to the trout and monkfish entrees which were so flavorful. Every forkful was... More
