Last night was my first visit to Pumpkin and it did not disappoint! It only took so long for me to visit because I was turned off by the fact that it's CASH ONLY -- but plus side is that it's BYOB no corkage fee. We didn't even realize it was restaurant week, we were hoping for the Sunday prix-fix... More

Intimate BYOB with a small menu that usually features at least one fresh-water fish cooked to perfection. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time for peak times and holidays. Definitely some French influence. A great choice for those with refined palates who are willing to spend a bit extra.

Stop what you're doing right now and go make a reservation for dinner at Pumpkin. This was without a doubt one of the best meals we have ever had. We had the Cavatelli appetizer that was an appropriately sized starter and very tasty! We then moved on to the trout and monkfish entrees which were so flavorful. Every forkful was... More

Let me cut right to the chase 45 bucks and an absolutely delicious 5 course dinner, hard to beat - very creative kitchen, every dish they sent out was a winner! Bring your own wine, even better, pick a delicious bottle from your wine cellar - don't be stingy - because the food deserves it. Only gripe, the service, while... More

A small BYOB restaurant, pumpkin always has a nice vibe, especially for a BYOB. My wife and I have eaten at Pumpkin many times and consistency is the key. Pumpkin is consistently tops in service, food and value. Appetizers - apps come in a nice size portion. they rotate the menu so always be on the lookout for newer apps... More

Interesting and thoughtfully prepared food, great small location and excellent service. We were initially a party of 4, joined by a fifth person who only visited and drank wine (and remember this is a BYOB, so the restaurant got nothing out of it, basically). No problem at all. Excellent food-- two had monkfish, one duck, one trout--- well prepared, fairly... More

We did the 5 course tasting menu. All were great. Our favorites were the beef tartar, carrot soup and the cheese course. Dessert was awesome too - I'd recommend the pudding with pb and chocolate. Service was excellent. Our waitress was so nice and sweet. We enjoyed talking with her and she was always making sure we had what we... More

Really quaint, with excellent food and good quick service, not far from the Verizon Hall, perfect dinner before going to see the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Excellent BYOB. We had flatiron steak and arctic char. The char was probably the best I ever had–the waiter said he’d tell the chef, I was the second person that evening to say so. Even better, believe it or not, were the bits of beets that came with it. Oh, my. Again, the best ever. Beefy, earthy, pickled just so.... More
