This was our second time there and it was excellent again. The signature salad is delicious. My daughter had the fusilli with a tomato cream sauce and seafood and she loved it. I had the veal and my husband a steak and we were very pleased. We had reservations but got there earlier and they sat us no problem. Would... More

I frequent this restaurant as I work nearby. The service has always been good and the food is quite tasty. The ambience is nice. You should definitely try it!

We spent a short but nice evening in this classy but also affordable restaurant conveniently located on the corner of 7th and Chestnut St. That is only one block away from the Philadelphia Bell. Kind service and great pictures on the walls. We took hand-tossed pizza's, gnocchi and ravioli. We will come back there for sure next time in Phili... More

So glad I stumbled across this gem while my husband was in a business meeting. The location is ideal because I walked to all the sites, did my share of shopping and worked up an appetite. Initially I asked to be seated in the bar area, but requested to be moved prior to my order and after the lunch crowd... More

One of our favorite places to eat in Philadelphia. Free parking is a plus. The calimari is excellent. Better than any I've eaten. Bread is always fresh. Steaks are done to perfection. Can always count on delicious seafood. Had the mahi mahi the other night. Great dish on a bed of pasta with olives. Service is great. Michael is an... More

My wife and I went here for lunch. She had the house salad which she throughly enjoyed. I had the chicken cutlet sandwich and french fries. This is a huge sandwich and I am a large eater. All for $21. total. I loved the lunch but would expect the dinner to be even better. Our server was fast, efficient and... More

my spouse's papardelle was overcooked, although the sauce was delicious. My linguine with cremini and goat cheese was amazing. Our waiter was attentive, energetic and another reason to try again. Thanks for the complimentary taste of limoncello!

We had a large group and a private room and it was an early reservation - 6p, so we thought all of the stars would align for a pleasant experience. However, in spite of a fairly empty environment, we had only 1 server assigned to us and it took forever to get drinks ordered and re-ordered. The absence of an... More

I totally recommend La Scala. The chicken wings were amazing and the piping hot lasagne was delicious. The food was served in good time. Despite having a TV set showing sport it wasn't a noisy restaurant in any way, quite the reverse in fact. Food and drink was reasonably priced. I look forward to eating there again when next in... Stopped in for lunch on the way to historical sites. Place was busy but were quickly seated. Would go back for the white arugula pizza we had. Beet and goat cheese salad was excellent. Service was excellent. Prices were moderate and reasonable.
