Best pound cake I have ever had. Whenever we are in the neighborhood we stop in because we live about 45 minutes from the bakery.

If you’ve never had German butter cake and want to try it, this is your place. You might want to place an order for it in advance, as they sometimes sell out. I thought the donuts were a little dry but we both liked the cake. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it again though.

Stock's Bakery is a no-nonsense gem hidden in the Fishtown/Port Richmond area. Incredible pound cake. I have had so many friends and co-workers send me here to get them. Unlike most other snooty bakeries in the city, the service is friendly and genuine. Although they are infamous for their poundcake, their other products are outstanding as well. Be sure to... More

Best pound cake by far. Dense and delicious! Toasted slices and topped with French Vanilla ice cream and strawberry rhubarb sauce! So very yummy!

The pound cake is delicious. After a long search for a wedding cake a friend recommended this bakery. We were hooked on the pound cake after we tried it for the first time. The cake is sweet but not too sweet. The wedding cake turned out beautiful and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this bakery for delicious... More

You don't know what real pound cake tastes like until you have tasted Stock's pound cake. The icing is delicious but not too sweet! Try it-you'll like it!

These pound cakes are great. My mom used to bring them home when she visited relatives in Philly. When I saw them down the shore years ago I couldn't wait to have my kids taste it. They loved it just as expected BUT the use of PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OILS (TRANS FATS) which clogs arteries and leads to heart disease is... More

This is under the restaurant category on TripAdvisor, but it is actually a bakery; there is no where to eat, and the place is small and compact. Often, the lines go out the door and spill onto the sidewalk. We usually get there early on Saturday morning---have tried going mid morning in the past, but the lines are usually pretty... More

I found out about their pound cakes and decided to make a trip to Philly on my way home from a trip to Atlantic city. The place is a little hidden, but with gps navigation I got there with no problem. Once inside, I saw all the great pastries and the pound cakes I was looking for. The place was... More
