A large part of the appeal of this restaurant are the wonderful views from the dining room. And while they have tried to match the oomph of the exterior with the interior decor, they have fallen a little short. Think 80's big hair - it looked good a while back but now it looks costume-y and tired. The service is... More

Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Excellent Views of Philadelphia! Located in the "Historic Bellvue Stratford Hotel" "XIX" is class all the way. Start with one of their Signature Drinks such as their "Lychee Kiss", by the fireplace in their Cozy Lounge. After that you'll be led to the Beautiful, Ornate Open Dining Area with Beautiful views of the City. Service is... More

We were staying at the Bellevue for a week in Philly. This is the upmarket restaurant on the top floor of the hotel. I had heard good things about this place - I was not disappointed. The decor of the restaurant is very stylish. Our waitress knew her stuff and was full of helpful recommendations and advice. Our meals were... More

The restaurant is on the 19th floor of the Bellevue and is awesome inside, with huge dome ceilings. The layout upon entering is strange. It was hard to locate the hostess booth and when we did, the host's back was to us, making it awkward to get his attention. We were seated soon after arriving. Our waiter checked on us... More

Our hotel gave us a list of "Best of" in Philly and this bar was listed as best hotel bar. We didn't visit any others but XIX was an outstanding bar. It is on the 19th floor of the Park Hyatt on Broad Street, close to City Hall. We sat in from of the fire, which was welcome after walking... More

My wife planned a birthday dinner for us at XIX to celebrate. The menu had many diverse options which would suit many different patrons. We started with the crabcake with salad for appetizer along with the callamari app. My wife said she would have been happy with just the crap cake (all lump no fillers) and the XIX salad which... Went tonight with my family for a nice meal after visiting Christmas Village. We were one of three tables with people in the main dining hall. Ordered our meals and then began the waiting game. Wine, sodas and bread came out quickly, but then the marathon began 45 mins later still did not have our 2 salads and a shrimp... More

I have such an appreciation for interior design, and this restaurant does not disappoint. The bar area was very swanky and sophisticated, and the main dining room was very grand and ostentatious. In other words, I fell in love, but not just with the decor, but also with the service and menu items as well. I imagine this is the... More

This venue can't be described as "intimate." You eat in a big open room which is more like a banquet hall than a restaurant. Nothing to buffer the noise -- in fact, the domed ceiling has a quirk that enables you to hear conversations at a table far across the room (to which they warn you). The food was just... More
