With all the great restaurants that Philadelphia has, choosing one can be tough -- but this one is terrific. I had been here a few years ago for restaurant week and, while it was great, it slipped off my radar. I went back to try the happy hour, which looks like it has a generous and well-priced selection of tapas,... More

New Year's Eve here was quite disappointing. Came here last year on New Years Eve and the service was perfect with explanations of the dishes and the wine pairings. This year we had an inexperienced waiter who really didn't care. $320 for dinner for two was a complete waste! Only I had the wine pairing. I chose the $90 extra... More

We requested a quiet table when we made our reservation at Tinto, because we were looking forward to conversing with our out-of-town friends. Our table was in a small below-ground room with a low ceiling and only 3 other tables, which we thought would lend itself to quiet conversation. Unfortunately, the bench seats were too low for the table and... More

As a New Yorker, I'm obsessed with finding great tapas spots. My husband and I can't get enough. Upon entering Tinto, a customer leaving said, "this place is fabulous!" I was super excited but was super let down. It's not fabulous and I feel sorry for him if he thinks it was - says a lot about how he appreciates... More

My partner and I shared approximately 9 different tapas and we both came to the conclusion that each one was a delight. Probably the most outstanding one was the Chestnut soup with duck hash and a poached quail egg. I liked it so much that I went home and recreated the recipe after internet research. Presentation is great and I... More

What a find! The food is delicious. They even had a separate gluten free menu. The waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten free so I had no worries. So much looked good on the menu that it was difficult to decide. Comfortable and a visually beautiful space. Will go again on our next trip.

Went to Tinto for the first time with a group of 5 people before the orchestra. Had a table downstairs.Started with a plate of 4 varieties of Pata Negra Iberico de Belota -ham/charcuterie. Pricey but it always is and this was spot on perfect! We followed with Boquerones; Baby beets with Cabrales crema and candied pecans!; Divers Scallops with quince;... More

If you like to have a variety of specialty dishes, this is the place! They have wonderful tapas, from land to sea. We shared the creamy chestnut soup, the fantastic arugula salad (has almonds, Serrano ham, figs with a Valencia orange vinaigrette), fresh tuna tartare, the best octopus we ever had!, and the juicy short rib. Our waiters, Anthony &... More

Planned a spur of the moment date night in Philly on a Friday. Was looking for something different than steak/Italian/seafood. So glad I stumbled on Tinto via TripAdvisor. Menu is based on the tapas concept. My date and I shared seven different plates while also enjoying a few different signature cocktails. Every plate was an argument of which was better.... More

Great service from Anthony , best Sangria I 've had ( had 3) and great food , including the cheese platter, the steak, the rice dish , the fish soup and the octopus. The arugula salad with the creamy dressing was my favorite. Everything was excellent, paced well and we had a great view of the kitchen.
