I had been to this restaurant more than 4 years ago and still remembered the delicious sangria so had to go back. I don't know if it's me or not, but it just didn't live up to my memory. Don't know if they changed the recipe or what but it just wasn't great. Good but not great. Tapas were also... More

Our first time visiting this particular Garces restaurant was the occasion of my wife's birthday. I had noted Gluten free, dairy and egg sensitivities in setting up our reservation. We arrived almost 30 minutes early and were seated promptly at a high table in a private nook in view of the kitchen. We arrived at the start of the dinner... More

For a business dinner we decided to go downtown Philly and between two tapas places we went with Tinto. We went to the bar area for a drink and then to the table. We got the menu and we decided for the chefs taster... Wow They started to come and they just kept on coming... Too much food really, everything... More

Had a great meal here in June, down in the cellar. It was much quieter down there and other than the constant bathroom traffic, it might be the best spot in the house. We ordered no less than 16 dishes for the four of us. Everything we ordered was properly prepared and presented, and tasted great. I will consider the... More

Booked a table for 12 at last minute. We did the multi course menu with winepairing and everyond agreed it was the best meal of the week. They were great to accomodate a food intolerance and made great substitutions. The wait staff were super nice and really explained both the dishes and the wines that came alongside + the pours... I really dislike bad reviews on this site for some reason but her I am contributing one. We sampled 6 different plates; the cheese plate was good but how can you mess up cheese, the scallops were very good, the chorizo was chorizo, the brussels sprouts were very tasty, the mussels were bland (ragu) and the paella was not especially... Wonderful service and food with quaint ambiance. We enjoyed the Kobe beef, scallops and prawns the most. Delicious selections and presentation. Thank you Chef Garces!

Wow. You walk into a very welcoming atmosphere, a little dark, but very cozy. The table was ready at our reservation time, the height of dinner hour. The menu is clever, folded over and shows the names of all the staff. Nice touch. tinto encourages lots of food because all the portions are small and priced right. We must have... More

While waiting to be seated was a good time for viewing these little eclectic plates of artistic delights passing by towards their destination. I've had tapas in Spain many times in the past but Tintos has brought the term to a new level. It's like the sushi of tapas. Elegantly designed with the same visual thought as one might find... Came here with some work colleagues (old and new) and it was fantastic. My only complaint is that I fell in love a wine called Txakoli on a recent trip to the Basque country and I thought if any place would have it it would be here. The waiter didn't see to know what I was talking about and that... More
