About
La Peg is a contemporary brasserie by Peter Woolsey located inside the FringeArts building in old city Philadelphia across from the Race Street pier. The dining room is dramatic with 45 foot tall ceilings with large windows to match that give every diner incredible views of the Benjamin Franklin bridge. Designed by Groundswell Design, the industrial interior pays homage to the building's history as a high pressure pump station for the Philadelphia fire department. The food is casual American inspired with options for the curious as well as the non-adventurous. The service is relaxed and casual yet informed and unobtrusive. Come in for a snack, dessert, drink, or blow out meal, La Peg will satisfy

Came here by myself while in town for a conference. The atmosphere was chill, and it's a bar you can dine alone without feeling awkward. I had the wedge salad and cheese/meat plate. I had goat cheese, house made ricotta, and summer sausage. Both cheeses...More

Great restaurant close to the Ben Franklin bridge. Renovated factory atmosphere - cool space. Great outside beer garden with games. Good place for vegetarians. Delicious grilled Asparagus ceasar salad. great thai style coconut curry mussels. would do a return visit!

We eat here before seeing a play at the theater. It’s in a converted warehouse. The clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. Portions were small on some dishes - cooked oysters. The house restaurant is excellent.

The restaurant was chosen as we were attending a play which was being held in the same building. Building is interesting. It was an old pump house. Nice view of Ben Franklin bridge out of most windows. Food was just ok. I had the salmon...More

The bartender and the waiter offered excellent and warm, professional service however the food was quite disappointing. Nothing special. Perhaps the food would be better if we weren’t there during restaurant week. I suspect that the restaurant is challenging to heat in the winter as...More

Attended a party here. Had beef tips that were perfectly marinated, green beans that were just tender enough and seasoned so well, sliders, salad, brownies. All food was very well done, staff were accommodating and friendly. The outdoor area featured two fire pits. Very nice...More

I recently dined here for Restaurant Week and I was definitely impressed. I loved the decor and the exposed brick and piping. It was an old building and they didn't hide it, which I like. Our server Sebastian was super friendly and entertaining. The cheese...More

Giving it 2 stars for the building. Food uninspired and poor presentation. Restaurant less than 1/2 full and server keep trying to rush our order. $20.00 to park so with so many great spots to eat I say skip

It seems odd that a restaurant the size of la peg wouldn't take reservations for more than 6 people. We took our daughter there for her birthday and we all enjoyed it very much. I would recheck the website or call again... More
