Alex and I decided to have dinner at Xochitl during our visit in Philly (which is located on South 2nd Street about a 10 minute cab or uber ride outside of the main downtown area.) We quickly learned the title of the restaurant is pronounced (So-Cheel)... We ordered two regular house margaritas, which were absolutely delicious (only critique is they... More

We had a great meal at this charming restaurant in Society Hill. The place was fine for children. The waitstaff was attentive and accommodating. The tequila menu is extensive. The food was very, very good. The house made guacamole was excellent as was the fried chicken. The desserts were outstanding. The is restaurant moderately expensive but worth the price

We've eaten here a number of times, and it seems that the quality and taste of both the margaritas and entrees has been getting worse every time we go. The margaritas tasted a bit bitter and the crab ceviche smelled and tasted fishy. My husband had the beef brisket tacos, which were pretty good but not outstanding. When this place... More

Wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Fantastic Margaritas and delicious menu. Not quiet, but not too loud. I went on a Wednesday evening. I will come again!

A group of friends and I had dinner here on a Saturday night. It was nice. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. She checked on us several times. The guacamole is delicious and the blood orange margarita is outstanding. They were great accommodating my requests for no dairy. The salad dressing was a little bitter for my taste, but the... Everything was not just good but REALLY good. Had the Pollo Frito, nice blend of sweet/hot, crispy/tender. Thinking about it on the walk back to the hotel, in many ways it was a southern dish; Fried chicken, cornbread and spinach/corn, the use of seasonings are what made the dish outstanding The drink was excellent as well as the service. Can... More

This is an interesting Mexican restaurant because it always comes up with a special twist. The guacamole is fresh and custom made. This visit on a Tuesday night, I had Caesar Asada, made with grilled romaine, corn, a great cheese and corn bread croutons. A Tuna tartar - first class with a little bite to it and the flan -... My husband, son and I went on a weekday to this restaurant for a first time visit. Pleasantly surprised. I had the best sangria. I chose blanco and it was a wise choice. My son who has a hot taste ordered the El Pepino and said it was real good. He also tried the Michelada and that was awful. Smelled... More

Very disappointed overall. The drinks were fantastic but pricey. We waited an hour and 45 minutes for our entrees to arrive for a party of six. Our server was very inattentive and took a while to even take our order. The drinks arrived 20 minutes after we placed the order. While the food was great, the wait ruined our experience.... More
