Food was very good. So was service. Bill included 4 bottles of wine and we only drank two. At the very least, careless preparation and review of the check. At worst, trying to pad the bill. Ruined an otherwise good experience. Will not return.

Our business group of four headed to Osteria from our downtown hotel - none of us had eaten there previously, and we found good reviews on-line. The restaurant was pretty good, not great, and I'm not sure I'd go back. The menu is innovative, from...More

This was a birthday dinner for my wife and she loved it. Truly not my usual kind of restaurant but I have to admit the food was great. We chose the family style tasting option with the rib eye as the main course. Everything was...More

We dined at Osteria on a recent Sunday evening on a biz trip weekend to Philly. The restaurant came highly recommended by foodie friends who live in town. And, the restaurant did not disappoint. Our server was a delightful young woman, friendly, but professional and...More

I will say that I feel a tad bit bad about the following review because my wife and I end up here about twice a year for special occasions or when we are really craving fantastic pasta, and through the ten+ excellent visits I’ve rarely...More

Hosted 24 guest last night at Osteria. ALL the food was great with special mention for wild boar pasta and Florentine ribeye. Wines were full bodied and smooth (Chris Pico the sommelier picked all winners including a nice grapa). Now under the leadership of chef...More

I'd probably call to make sure -- but when I went it seemed relatively casual and no one made a fuss about people wearing jeans or what have you -- not " dressy"

"Convivial and inviting, Osteria's heart is its open main kitchen from which its award-winning menu of antipasti, homemade pastas, house-cured salumi, authentic Neapolitan and Roman-style pizzas, wood-grilled meats, seafood and decadent desserts are crafted. Drawing its inspiration from traditional osterias found in Northern Italy, Osteria is the realization of a dream Vetri Family partners Jeff Benjamin and Chefs Marc Vetri and Jeff Michaud had while standing amongst the grapes of the Ca'Marcanda vineyards in Tuscany. Since opening in 2007, Osteria has become one of the country's most critically acclaimed Italian restaurants, receiving a 3-out-of-4 bell review from the Philadelphia Inquirer, and earning Chef Michaud the 2010 James Beard Foundation Award for "Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic" for his work helming the kitchen."
