I have never experienced customer service this poor in my entire life. There was a simple mistake in my order, and when I called to correct it, the owner yelled at me, cursed me out, and refused to offer a refund/replacement. He was very irate....ALSO, he was racist; he said I'm American and didn't know what I was talking about. Funny thing is, I'm Indian and knew exactly what I was talking about. Never order from here again! I think the guy had a kebab up his butt, because he was in a very pissy mood.More

My first and only visit was a disaster. The saag paneer had no cheese in it and the spinach had an off color and a worst taste. The tikka marsala was very watery and lacked flavor. When I asked for a spoon, the response was...barked "get one from the table." The food just did not seem fresh at all. Worst Indian food I have ever had.More

Saffron is amazing! It's always clean and the food is delicious. I wish they would label the food better and even help educate customers about the food. I love Indian food, but I still don't know a lot about it.

I've been to the saffron in Bala Cynwyd, and I expected great things from the city location. I got the buffet, and it was just average. I think it would have been much better if the food was actually hot. They really need to fix...that. Also, I saw one of the staff throw tandoori chicken on top of the buffet instead of mixing it into the bottom. It scares me that anything at the bottom of the pan would have been sitting there all day. They need to fix that policy.More

Went to the Broad Street location despite the not so good reviews on Yelp. The food was average. Customer service stinks. We were served warm water. Don't even bother purchasing a Groupon for this restaurant. They will not honor it. After debating back n forth...for a minute, she finally decided that she will serve us (using our Groupon) despite the fact that there were no other customers in the restaurant. Why you would turn customers away, I don't know.More

We went to have dinner at this place last week. The quality of food was average. It used to be much better (I think they changed their name from Samosa to Saffron) and it used to be a purely veg place. I liked their samosas...a lot.More

During what is supposed to be the last snow of 2015 I had the lunch buffet with my guest. We had settled on Saffron on the recommendation of others not to forget it is such a good value at such a central location. The buffet,...while not large, offered a nice assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Goat biryani was a nice surprise that I hadn't run into at other Indian buffets. The naan was also very good and fresh. Service was great.More

We were hungry and the sub zero weather led me to thinking about getting something fast, spicy and warm. Saffon offers up a simple buffet of Indian food, a blend of vegetarian and meat dishes, basmati rice and very very good raita. The breads are...made to order. Our nan came buttery with a crisp salted crust and warm doughy on the inside. The room is a riot of strong color graced by large windows. Where else can one get such a great all you can eat meal for less than twenty buck for two? And better yet, no waiting!More

We went there for lunch and there buffet is very tasty, although not a very big buffet. The owner is very friendly and if you want to eat high quality Indian food in Philadelphia, this is a very good choice. The food they serve is...Halal.My Bangladeshi friend liked it very much, which means that it was quite authentic Indian food and not very modified to Western taste.More
