They don't chop the steak up instead it is in thin slices and I found fat on it which turns me off. Some people love it but I don't.

Geno's is talked up like one of the two best cheesesteaks in town. Unfortunately it's not even close - more like an average to below average restaurant that sells cheesesteaks. Location is great but the food is just terrible. Unfortunately part of this probably is because it's so overhyped by tourist blogs and visitors that it can't help but fall... More

When it comes to cheese Geno's is one of Philadelphia's best places to go . The only thing wrong is they need a parking lot the line is always long .

We are visiting the area from SC and decided to have supper here after seeing these 2 places on a TV show. We ate across the street first and then came here to try it out. Geno's wins my vote!!! I thought it was great. Fresh bread, meat wasn't fatty and just enough cheese to make it all good!

Sad to say after many recommendations this was not the best cheesesteak. Being from out of town I was disappointed. It lacked flavor and was on the tough side.

It was kind of a disaster to find parking but their food was excellent. The cheesesteak was decent, nothing to go crazy about but their chees fries were really great. Consistently busy so get your ordering right and get a cannoli next door.

I've been to Philly twice and always look forward to a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. This was my first time trying Geno's. The food did not disappoint. The food was tasty and good. Everyone has their favs between Pat's and Geno's. It all depends on your tastebuds.

I am sure Geno's would not be happy that we also bought a competing sandwich BUT I preferred Geno's to it anyway! It was a little intimidating for this southern family to order at the window but it was an experience!!
