I am quite a foodie and picky when it comes to food, but there are plenty of options to choose from. Make sure you give yourself some time though as it can be quite overwhelming with so many options and some places do have longer lines (i.e. cheesesteak place, etc)

Nostalgic for a local like me. Recommended for all, local or not. Not as crowded before 1130a. But more character when crowded. Food and people watching are great during lunchtime. Eat, watch, relax, snack, and enjoy. You won't regret.

Reading Terminal Market is a must see destination in Philadelphia. Dozens of specialist fresh produce stands, chocolatiers, fast food outlets including the famous Philly cheese steak sandwich and a fabulous stand with a wide variety of goods produced by the Amish. Clothing and gifts and so much more. Be prepared for the crowds at lunchtime as the locals head for... More

Large selection of dining options from Asian, Italian, Deli and a great stand specializing in Grilled cheese sandwiches. Plenty of options for dessert also. Has a true market with fresh produce, meats and fish. Most spots open all week with the exception of those run by "Pennsylvania Dutch" which are closed on Sunday and Monday (check the terminals site to... More

Have an event at convention center? Dont forget to walk across the street for great food. Lots of different types, all fresh ... really good. Yes you will have to fight for a seat, but a great Philly experience. I like the turkey sandwich place... awesome sandwiches, and they pack up well to take home on the train. An eclectic... More

Make this a spot for lunch at least one day you are in Philly! The Kirk sandwich with the broccoli mix they have is delicious! Makers has a very fun and busy atmosphere. Wish I lived closer so I could grab mire if all the great items they had in this market!

There is every kind of food available in different price ranges. I love the Amish bread & cinnamon rolls.
