If you understand what this place is, you won't be disappointed. It's on South Street in philly. That's the drinking and debauchery section of town. We all know after a night of drinking you have to have a slice or ten to quell the beast. This place fits the bill. They crank out slices of thin crust pie so large... More

We learned about this place 2 years ago when our CA son had to pick a US city to travel to on a budget. This place was definitely pleasing to the pocketbook and the stomach. A few things to note: this business is cash only and only adds toppings on Tuesdays and this is a stand only place. We lucked... More

If you’re out late and drinking, the place to stop is Lorenzo’s pizza. At $3.50 a slice, they certainly give you a huge piece of pizza... My husband loves this place, but I think it’s awful. The sauce is sweet tasting, which is odd for pizza. I guess if you’re out drinking, you just don’t care much, and the line... More

I stumbles across this restaurant while walking down South Street. The slice of cheese pizza was huge (took 2 plates to hold it). The cost was very reasonable $3.50. I couldn't finish it so I had to get a box (.25 extra). Lots of people coming in and buying slices to go.

tiny place that serves gigantic pizza slices! this was my 10 year olds favorite and most memorable place to eat in Philly. we all enjoyed it - good pizza even if it is only cheese. huge slices were fun and got to talk to others huddled around the single counter. surrounding neighborhood was an interesting sight for my boys, but... Was looking for a quick and inexpensive bite for lunch and I found it at Lorenzo's. Huge slice of pizza. Make sure you pay the meter

Went to Lorenzo's after a concert at the TLA. Scumbag cashier rang me up for 2 slices and a to go box (should've cost $7.00 and change). I gave scumbag cashier a $20 and he gave me back $2. When I called him out on it (he obviously thought I was drunk and wouldn't notice) he half-heartedly apologized while the... More

It is the pizza that has been the stuff dreams are made of, traditions are built on and memories that includes summer winter friends and family. When I moved to Florida it was a missed item that ranked up there with other Philly treats worth the extra workouts and gas to get there. It's simple really great sweet sauce cheese... More

Except on Tuesdays, slices are only cheese & sauce. Tuesday you can add toppings. We visited on Saturday, so it was cheese for us. Lorenzo & Sons is a very small place great for a late night slice. Don't miss this "Joint".
