I was on a solo trip from england and went to this bar on a Wednesday Night. Cheap drinks and a good atmosphere. I went back the next night for the drag night which was good. They publish a list of the events going on...More
Fun 80s-90s music to dance to But definitely not the drag queen night one expected. We had fun dancing but my friends and I can do that anywhere. Drinks were crazy strong so they tasted horrible but made the price acceptable.
Found this place our second night and it was packed! It was a Saturday night and they had live music! Can't go wrong with PBR for $2.50 or PBR and a shot for $4. Also have cider (not on tap) and they free pour their...More
Go on a Thursday night, about 10 PM. That's when they do their drag show. Its a real hoot! Bartenders and patrons are super friendly. Kitschy beer posters, adverts allover the walls. Cheap beer, cute girls. What else do you need?

An institution of South Street and Philadelphia, the bar dates back decades. It's dirty cheap, and offers nothing fancy. The 70s paneling walls and ugly as sin bar are endearing at the worst of time. The bartenders are rough people, and they don't play games....More
Philly specials,(PBR&Jim Beam), great rock and roll music, dark as the inside of a closet and the friendliest bartender in town. This is a landmark institution. Great live music on different nights. Great memorabilia all over the place. A must stop on the dive bar...More
I dare you to count all of the Pabst Blue Ribbon ephemera in this place. Some pieces are many decades old. And those are the classiest decorations in there!
They invented the City Special: a shot (Jim Beam) and a beer (PBR, of course) for...More
We stopped in Bob & Barbara's on a Saturday night at 9:30 pm just in time to catch the jazz trio and they were excellent! They did a set of songs with vocals as well, mostly Marvin Gaye and Soul stylings. We had heard about...More
