This place has a little bit of something for everyone, the portions are large, and the cost is fair. The famous apple dumpling was good, but maybe not as good as they will lead you to believe. Either way, this is a great place to stop!

We stayed at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott and ate almost every breakfast and lunch at the Dutch Eating Place. The servers were super-friendly, and the food was like my grandmother used to make, absolutely delicious! It is extremely popular with locals and tourists, so go right when they open in the morning in order to get a seat at the... More

I had the breakfast sandwich and there was so much food. I also got home fries not realizing that it would be overkills. Price was very reasonable and the food good. We didn't even eat lunch. Very crowded so get your food to go and eat in one of the common areas.

(Breakfast at Reading Terminal) Lines start forming at this diner-like restaurant shortly after the market opens. Operated by Amish from Lancaster County, the restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Saturday. (The Amish-run venues are all closed on Sundays and many are also closed Monday and Tuesday, although a few are open on Tuesdays.) One of the 'famous'... More

Really cool place in Reading Terminal. When I am in area I always stop at this diner. Great place to go, nothing fancy just good food and great service. You also get to sit right at the counter instead the center seating area. Usually I get breakfast food, eggs sausage, toast or pancakes, coffee. The portions are very generous. A... More

I have eaten here many times over the years. Counter seating. Always crowded at breakfast so be prepared to wait. Eggs anyway you want. Assorted breakfast meats including very good turkey bacon, toast and muffins with your meal. Plentiful coffee and if you still have room they are famous for their apple dumplings.

Wonderful, amazing dutch food...meaning delicious and large portions. We had the blueberry pancakes and the western omelet. The pancakes are completely stuffed with fresh, whole blueberries while the omelet is stuffed with ham and tomatoes, cheese, stringed potatoes....we are talking STUFFED. Truly amazing food and they are so friendly. A must place to eat.

While visiting the Auto show (not wort the time) we went across the street to the Reading Terminal Market to grab some lunch. After wondering through the crowd we decided on The Dutch Eating Place. They have a nice menu and great soup. Unfortunately, while the food is good and freshly prepared as well as reasonable priced the seating leaves... More

The pancakes are excellent!!! Everything is great. I really enjoy the fast service and fresh food. There is always a line to eat here. Don't worry, the line goes fast. Everything (meaning breakfast, I have not been here for lunch/dinner) is good.
