This bar and restaurant seems always to be busy. It is hard, if not impossible to find a seat at the bar with so many regulars taking early possession. Outdoor tables are very few but it is a nice location to sit out when you can grab a table. Food is not really very inspiring at all. It is very... More

We went to White Dog for happy hour on a random Thursday and we were so glad we did. The food was exceptional-- everything from the oysters to the swedish meatballs in mushroom sauce were excellent. The drinks are remarkable as well, I highly recommend their version of the manhattan. Delicious! The place gets crowded so go early and dont... More

Whether you visit the Philadelphia or the Wayne location, you will enjoy a delicious meal in a fantastic atmosphere. At the Philadelphia location on Monday nights, they offer 1/2 price bottles of wine. The menu options are limited, but there are usually specials offered. The truffle fries are a must have during your visit. It is my recommendation that you... More

On a warm Sunday night it was quite comfortable to sit outside. The inside rooms seem better suited for larger groups or parents visiting their kids in college. The dishes were imaginative and plated with the care seen in vaunted fine dining venues. Tuna tartar had a crown of avocado and a splash of complimentary sauce. A mixed salad was... More

This is a fun little restaurant on a cute little street with nice separate rooms where the tables are located. They offer a gluten-free menu and were very helpful also with my daughters dairy free needs. Our group had burgers, some with gluten-free buns, they were absolutely delicious. This place has been farm to table since the early 80s.

I left the decision on where to celebrate our youngest daughter's family brunch to our older, 24 year old, daughter! She slam dunked it for her sister. This place is super cute, and perfect for a family! We are all dog lovers (toy Yorkie and Great Pyrenees) so we appreciated the decor immensely. We started with the poppy seed homemade... More

Over the years my family and I have eaten at the White Dog several times for brunch, but this review is solely about our most recent experience. We arrived right on time for our reservation but were a party of 6 instead of five. After a quick, friendly check for a table, were seated. Our wait person was efficient and... More

We went here for happy hour and loved it! It was very crowded at the bar but we got seats after about 15 minutes. The place is Adorable and the food is VERY good! My husband loved his drink-- the Barkley Cooper featuring Old Forester. The humus was wonderful (especially the black bean) and deviled eggs were very nice. I... More

Went last week while on a business trip to meet with my team and was so pleasantly surprised and pleased with everything. The food was delicious and the decor was so unique and so different in each room. We ordered everything from oysters, deviled eggs, lamb, halibut..etc...Such an awesome little place will definitely go back one day.

I've been eating at White Dog Cafe in Sansom since my daughter attended college in the area. That was in the early 1990s. Now my granddaughter is attending the same college and every time I visit her, probably every other month, we go to there for lunch or dinner. It wouldn't be a visit to that area without a stop...
