We came to Mixto after a long drive in from Pittsburgh, taking an unintentional one hour detour into the darkest depths of New Jersey. The restaurant was recommended by the receptionist at our hotel. It was an extremely pleasant discovery. The front windows were open to the street, tables lined the edge of the sidewalk, making me think of similar... More

The service, food and atmosphere was FANTASTIC! With a Latin flair, the food in innovative and creative. The drink (cucumber mojitio was outstanding!!!) Service was friendly and efficient. Pea rice and black beans as side dishes was a welcome relief from the ho hum french fries, baked potatoes etc. The beef dish with red and green peppers was so tender... More

Visited Mixto and was very pleased with everything it has to offer. The staff was very welcoming and professional. The food and drinks were amazing. I would recommend the skirt steak and the Ropa Vieja. Definitely put this as a must visit when in Philly.

Another great meal with friends celebrating the 4th of July holiday weekend. The offer generous portions and have a good variety of sweet and savory brunch offerings. Highly recommend pairing your meal with a café con leche and their passion fruit mimosas. They are also super family friendly ; )

Came across Mixto buy accident when looking for another place when staying in Philly recently and what a great find it turned out. We visited on a Weds evening and the place was busy with a good atmosphere even though we didn't arrive until after 9pm. They serve a broad range of South and Central American and Caribbean dishes (I... More

Mixto is a hopping neighborhood place with a Latin American vibe. We've enjoyed Peruvian, Argentenianm, Mexican and Cuban food there. Great bar scene with mojitos to die for. A popular place with groups, as there's a big upstairs room as well as the downstairs seating area and bar. But beware, if you want to have a quiet romantic lunch or... More

We needed a quick bite for a late lunch and were able to walk right in and grab a spot at the bar area high tables. Great sandwich choices and smoothies were good too.

We went on a Friday night, and the place was hopping! Outdoor, indoor, and second floor seating filled up fast. It was a very lively, very social environment. Drinks, appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all fabulous. The mojitos and tres leches cake were the best I have ever had!

Nice atmosphere. That's about it. Ordered appetizers garlic shrimp and mofongo. Shrimp tasted fishy. Mofongo was blah. Main meal was the churrasco. Made to order, tasty. No complaints. But service was horrid. Friday evening busy yes but this was ridiculous. I found myself looking for our waitress half the time. We sat outside. Maybe service is better inside but don't... More

I've been there twice for a friend birthday and date night with my husband. I love this place! Food and drinks are delicious, and their deserts are the best, especially tres leches and chocolate mousse cake. Would recommend this place for any occasion!

Description
Mixto is a two-story natural wood and exposed brick building located on the east side of downtown Philadelphia on the historic Antique Row. We have been opened for ten consecutive years. Our vision has been to bring an array of flavors of the Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean cuisine to the Center City area. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with bar service and an extensive wine selection. Mixto offers outdoor dining with a South Beach Miami ambiance during the spring, summer & fall when the weather permits.
