SO GOOD. I’ve been hearing about this place (and their happy hour) for months so I was happy to finally visit with My cousins during restaurant week. Reservation was for 6pm; I arrived around 5:20 and was still seated within minutes (which was surprising but hey, lucky me/us). Although the menu for restaurant week is shorter than the normal menu it’s still all delicious and portioned wonderfully (quality is good too). Their mojito is awesome. Service was great; I appreciated that everything was still up to par and we were treated with the same attentiveness and respect as someone ordering from the regular menu. I had the churrasco colombiano for my entree and pudin de pan for dessert. I also had their maduros and tostones bruschetta (not photographed).

Came here last week randomly for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. We were seated immediately even though we didn't have a reservation and our waiter came over as soon as we were seated. We ordered margaritas, empanadas, chicken soup and tostones bruschetta as appetizers. For our entrees we got arroz con pollo and arroz con camarones. The portion sizes were filling and all of our dishes were flavorful.

Happy hour or else. OK… we get it, it’s 5:30 and your short staff but but we felt the host almost forced us to eat at the bar. (Change of shifts maybe?) The apps were good (wings and guacamole and chips) My entree scallop and artichoke dish was very MEH.. but here’s the kicker… my wife ordered the sea bass meal that came out a half an hour after my meal. She said her meal was good tho. All in all…Mixto is a cool spot. We’re in our 50’s so maybe it’s just not our flavor of place. It was packed when we were leaving, so it appears people love Mixto. . Before I sign off… 😂 I want to say that the staff were all nice and tried to make up for the delayed dish.

This was our 2nd time dining at Mixto. The food is delicious and fairly priced. My husband and son had the steak tips and loved them. Very flavorful. I had the scallops. They were also very tasty, I only wished that I had a few more. The place was crowded but the servers moved quickly so that food was served quickly. My only recommendation is to make the sangria less sweet. It was too sweet for me. Too much fruit juice not enough wine. Great place!

Let me start by saying the food is solid. It was good food. Now i will say this : Mixto is typical of restaurants that nickel and dine you to death. We were there at 330pm. We went cause the 19 yo and 21 year old young men wanted Cuban sandwiches. Nope. Thats a brunch item you have to order off the dinner items. Which are obviously heavier and more expensive Then we ask what mojito is popular. They say Passionfruit. There was the mojito price and $2 extra charge per drink for that splash of passion fruit juice. Next I asked for a condiment cup of garlic sauce for my rice. Yep, there was an extra charge. Then the tip was included. Thats fine, we always give 20%. We paid in cash but there was a credit card fee. I would imagine the bills are always close to $200 That is a lot to bring cash for. The woman server could care less about us. She barely gave us the time of day and got our appetizer order wrong, We had to get someones attention for everything. Would I recommend it?? Ehh, maybe. How can I sum this up: you feel like they’re doing you a favor by letting you eat there instead of a nice comfortable meal

We were discriminated against as soon as we walked into the restaurant, they never brought out our appetizers, the margaritas were so bitter that we had to ask for lime juice, and the hostess charged us for masks but not two other couples. In addition, they let a party of 12 walk maskless through the whole restaurant. Had to speak to 3 managers and after speaking to a manager (Mercy) she had said they are Latino so they normally get discriminated against. Definitely will never will be going back after such disrespect from management and will be sharing the experience with family and friends.

Excellent food, with options from all over Latin America. Waitstaff was excellent, and prompt. Portions were a average size; not too small, not too large. For families with young children, I recommend booking for about 1700 or 1730. It starts to get much louder around 1830.

One of my favorites! Food and drinks don’t disappoint, ever! Only thing that’s a hassle is the parking, would def advise Uber/Lyft or catching the train and walking. My drink: tropical mojito (their mojitos are great) Appetizers: empanadas, Maduros rellenas Meal: scallops and I substituted the risotto & mushrooms with yellow rice . Everything met my expectations per usual.

On Sundays, Mixto offers a happy hour starting at 4:30p. So, my wife and I went there, arriving at 4:15. Being an absolutely beautiful afternoon, we asked for an outside table. When we inquired about the happy hour, we were told that one must seat at the bar inside for happy hour. One is expected to pay full price elsewhere, including at outside tables. This is despite having the same servers providing the service. I could tell the servers were uncomfortable when asked about the policy. No doubt they get to have this conversation often. This is a sign of poor management.

My wife and I came here for a brunch reservation after Valentine’s Day. We loved the atmosphere and the food! She had the Argentinian Breakfast (the steak was really good). I had the Cuban breakfast. Being part Cuban, I felt like I was having back in Miami at a Cuban restaurant. Although the Moro wasn’t anything special, overall I liked my meal. We also had café con leche and passion fruit smoothies, both of which we loved. We will definitely come back to try their dinner menu.

This was a first time here and we enjoyed it. They had a good selection of drinks and their menu was extensive. Three of us got the churrasco and the serving was enough for 2 people. The meat was tender and the sides were tasty. The server was very attentive and had a great personality.

Service was terrible. Veronica was a very cold host. She messed up my order and when I told her she said there was nothing she can do and the kitchen was closing. Not even an attempt to discount the bill for the inconvenience. My husband ordered a drink and she didn’t even wait for me to tell her what drink I wanted, she just brought my husband his drink meanwhile my drink was completely empty. Very disappointed with the service, which ruined the entire experience of celebrating my graduation dinner after traveling over from NY.

My wife and I go to this restaurant every time we are in Philly. We love it here. Its a cozy two floor restaurant with a lively bar and excellent food. Authentic Cuban food is somewhat hard to find, but this place always succeeds. The empanadas are excellent. We usually get Ropa Viejo or Arroz con Pollo, or sometimes one of the many pork dishes. Always fresh and well made. The Plantains are always well cooked. One downside: it can be somewhat noisy, something about the acoustics and the layout… but we dont mind. All we see are people having a good time. It doesnt stop us from going there.

We enjoyed lunch at this restaurant. Definitely have to find onstreet parking. There are restaurants all around. We picked this one because of the beautiful paintings all around. The service is nice and they have restrooms onsite. They have some fun cocktails. We enjoyed the octupus, lamb chops and rice with saffron. It was a fantastic experience.

We came after seeing the ballet and in festive mood, and also good recommendations from friends. We decided on an assortment of Appetizers to share. Guacamole with Plantain Chips, Trio de Ceviche, Camarones al Ajillo. Everything was delicious. Then a Main Dish to share: Ropa Vieja . We were so full with the appetizers that we only tried it, very good. Two sides come with it, Rice(yellow / vegetable) and Maduros. Plenty of meat to share and take home. A Tres Leches as dessert. Delicious. Drinks were a Chilean Red Blend, a Spicy Mango Margarita & Mango Juice-all good. Service was friendly. We had a good time and plan to return.
