Having had several great lunches and dinners at Mixto we decided to try breakfast on a Sunday. Great choice! At about 10 a.m. we actually had to wait 10 minutes - you can make a reservation which we'll do next time. The Colombian omelet is hugely filling and the breakfast burrito was good too. The usual brisk but efficient service.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years and my last visit may bring that to an end. The major issue was the service. Our waiter seemed to be in a coma, mumbling and never breaking the smallest of a smile. They always bring Cuban bread to the table, that never happened. The food was decent but no where... More

The food was varied, tasty and reasonably priced. However we could not get our waiter to return to our table after the main meal was completed and we wanted to order desert. We finally flagged another waiter to ask for our check after 1/2 wait. There are too many other good places to eat in Philadelphia with decent table service.... More

A friend took me out for brunch and our meal was just delicious! We shared and I am so glad we did! She had breakfast tostadas. They were fresh and delectable. I had a Costa Rican breakfast with sausage. I ate every morsel. The fried cheese and plantains on the plate were cooked to perfection. Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's were... More

What a disappointment, we were enjoying a lovely dinner and then a cockroach crawled out of the woodwork into the wall. We were mortified and notified the staff. They did not seem startled or surprised by the bug. Instead the waiter tried to say this is not on their control and things like this happen. At the end the manager... More

Great place to eat and have a margarita. Friendly staff and good food. The Lola margarita is one of the best I ever had. I would live to make it to their late night dancing sometime

This is a great spot that has stood the test of time. A great staff that is welcoming and knowledgeable continues to impress. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant. We ordered several cocktails and all were pleased with all of them. The food was authentic, well prepared, and were nice sized portions. We had various empanadas, two ceviches, and guacamole... Great food and great atmosphere. Try the smoothies with water- so refreshing! Everything on the menu is great but the lechón rostisado was awesome.

Great place to get a great margarita and cuban inspired food! Margaritas are authentic and not full of syrup. My dinner was a Seafood Paella which was loaded with lobster, shrimp, calamari, mussels, and sausage and served with a saffron rice along with black beans and plantains. Food was seasoned to perfection and was more than enough for dinner. Service... More

Service was excellent. Great variety of Latino American food. The plantain Bruscceta guacamole and ceviche were excellent. The paella, although it was a very generous serving and plenty of meat, it was dried and the chicken over cooked. It needed flavor too. The monitors were good and the pitcher was well worth the price. We had reservations and the table... More

Description
Mixto is a two-story natural wood and exposed brick building located on the east side of downtown Philadelphia on the historic Antique Row. We have been opened for ten consecutive years. Our vision has been to bring an array of flavors of the Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean cuisine to the Center City area. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with bar service and an extensive wine selection. Mixto offers outdoor dining with a South Beach Miami ambiance during the spring, summer & fall when the weather permits.
