Surprisingly different from most Mexican restaurants. Contemporary spin on Mexican food. I had the Cholula Fried Chicken Tacos. They were good, like Buffalo Chicken in a taco. Not a place to go to if you want a quiet meal.

The food was excellent, we sat outside on the sidewalk. We were happy about that, because inside it was really loud and the air was sticky. The waitresses arent that friendly, but still ok. We would go again.

Nice atmosphere and great food. Will continue to return in the future. Margaritas as fresh and delicious. Favorite dish is the cholula chicken tacos.

I was in Philly for the weekend and been bar and fine dining hopping the whole time. I wanted to hit a place that had solid flan like we do in Houston. This place was not a disappointment at all! Nice set up as well.

A lovely place to sit outside on a fall evening - perfect weather, perfect drinks, perfect food. Plenty of people watching to take advantage of too, with the public sidewalk right in the middle of the outdoor seating. Our waitress was very pregnant but very attentive and pleasant.

Jet lagged and hungry we stumbled to lolitas. The staff explain the menu but we asked them to give us a selection of their best. Everything tasted fantastic and we ordered more. Sitting on street tables made the experience even better being able to take in the sights and sounds of Philly.

Went with business associates for our 1 night in PHL. Service was good, staff very friendly and menu full of unique tasty Mexican food and drink. Unfortunately no visiting with anyone except those seated immediately next to you. Smaller group or just couples next time.

First night in Philly and we wanted Mexican. Needing gluten free food, we found Lolita had it all. We ordered tacos with rice and beans and it was very good. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was not quite Mexican, but it was very pleasant. The prices were perfect. Overall, a very nice experience!

Know before you go: Lolita has an "energetic" atmosphere. Loud, small and dark. None of these are negatives; just information. Having said that, I was impressed by the flavors and the prices. My wife and I shared chips and salsa (and the chips included plantains and other things not found at "typical" Mexican restaurants), which came with a chipotle salsa... More

I had lunch at Lolita on a recent visit to Philadelphia. Lolita was a good find. We shared guacamole for the table; I thought it was quite good. I had chilaquiles (yes, more traditionally a breakfast food) and also enjoyed them. There were some extra touches, so not purely traditional, but tasty. The space is small, so gets very noisy...
