Landmark restaurant, very good food, family style, clean, efficient service. Gets crowded even on a monday night. Fair price, fresh and delicious... A nice find close to our b&b. Happy tourists we were !

Celebrated a family birthday with a group of 8 on a Sunday and had a delicious and filling meal. Started with mussels in red sauce and the peppers/mozzarella appetizers - both were delicious. The baskets of fresh bread were delicious and refills were generously provided. The braciole entrée was the family favorite and I wish I had ordered it...both the... More

We dined here for the first time after hearing about the old-school atmosphere and good food. Unfortunately, it disappointed on both fronts. First, the place is packed with locals but it's incredibly loud, to the point where conversation is difficult. It just isn't a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to dine with friends when you have to shout at each other.... More

From the moment we sat down the server was extremely rude to us. We had to beg for refills on our drinks and he just had a crummy attitude. The food was just ok... Everyone bragged how great this place was so maybe it was an off night but I just wasn't impressed.

If you enjoy fantastic Italian food, you have to give this place a try. Cash is required, but that is a minor inconvenience. Great menu and lots of choices.

We all can remember a just a handful of meals we have had that were without compare. The so-called top five dinners. Part way through dinner at Ralph's my wife declared this was one of her top five dinners. I had to agree, mine too! Her salad was a real ceasar, I had the tomatoes with mozzarella. Dinner was linguini... More

Arrived early (noon) and was seated right away. Staff is friendly and on top of their game. The restaurant is extremely clean and nicely appointed. Menu is varied and something for everyone. Excellent lunch selection or order entrees from the dinner menu. Food was excellent and prices are very fair! Very pleased and will go again when in Philly.

The oldest italian restaurant in the nation, could do so much better to reach excellence, with little details. 1. The butter: Why don't serve pure butter on little plates instead of that packet cream butter, so tasteless.... 2. bread: Warm fresh bread? too much to ask from a highly rated italian restaurant? 3. quality Coffee? and the creamer? not a...
