3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Was there for dinner. Started with a burrata on toast with mixed greens, tomatoes, and prosciutto , which I thought was well prepared and fresh. I followed with Barramundi (similar to sea bass from Asia or Australia) accompanied by mixed vegetables . This was also well prepared . I finished with a double espresso, which came with a spoon inside... More

Spent a long day driving, but had a wonderful dinner at Bistro Romano. Shared the calamari appetizer, excellent! The gnocchi was melt in your mouth perfect and enjoyed a steak special with mushrooms and the best dessert, Semifreddo!

I arrived a little later than expected because Philly was PACKED with cars on Saturday night. The hostess graciously reserved by place and pointed out the parking lot that would validate my visit. The atmosphere is lovely. I sat upstairs, which while near the bar, had a piano player providing music for a lovely atmosphere. The white fish (Bream, I... More

This is a fine Italian restaurant hidden away on a quiet street. The food is well prepared, the service very attentive and well priced for its quality.

We were visiting Philadelphia and I found this restaurant online. It was fantastic. We both had a veal dish and the sundried tomato salsa with bread is out of this world. Very cozy romantic place and service perfect. We have dined at 3 other places in Philadelphia and agree this was the best. It is not on "best of" But... More

The restaurant is in a very old building. I like the exposed walls and ceiling that you can see the structure. The banquets are wood and create niches of privacy throughout. The food was delicious. Started out with a tomato soup shooter to cleanse the palate. The waiter recommended a wonderful white wine. The Barramundi on saffron buerre blanc was... More

The chef hand makes the gnocchi, the white truffle sauce I could have just by itself. Service was excellent, the house made wine is good option if you just want a glass of a good chianti.

We went for the Labor Day special dinner, which was worth every penny. Multiple staff stopped by and were very attentive to make sure we were well taken care of. The bresaola was very light and tasty, as were the calamari. For main dishes we had the salmon and the saltimbocca. Again, I have I have no complaints - all... More

Arranged a meet-up with another couple. Made reservations, but I'm not 100% certain that was necessary, as it was a Thursday night at 8pm. We were greeted and seated immediately. The overall feel of the place is pretty cool with the bar upstairs and the dining room downstairs. The tables were nicely situated, in that it was easy to forget... More
