A rainstorm washed out plans to go to the Chesapeake Bay to crack blue crabs at a place on the water. Instead, we went to DiNardo's in Old City, which is a consistent fallback. The crabs (market price) were pricier than the last time I was there and the crabs were watery. We ordered a half-dozen to begin and then... More

OK. Hadn't been for 10+ years (even forgot where it was!) but walking in it was like I'd been there yesterday. Linguini and (anything)....superb still. Fat mussels, juicy (and not cooked-to-death) clams, DuFreres in Naples doesn't do better. The soups are as they were... fresh and not to be equaled in Phila., and, although N.E. Clam 'Chowdah' is best in... More

My annual trip to Philly always includes the Flower Show and Dinardos. Both superb! Although known for its shellfish, my favorite is the fried flounder. Helpful and friendly managers, bartenders and servers.

This has been my go to for good crab for years. I also enjoy their mussel dishes. Service is always friendly.

Had fried calamari which was heavily battered . Seafood broiled combo was just average. Service was lacking.

It was just past 5 on this Friday evening, and the back of the restaurant was already half full. Our server was very welcoming. We shared the muscles in white sauce for an appetizer. It was plentiful, and the muscles were plump, delicious and very fresh. My company had the jumbo shrimp, blackened. I had the fried oysters. Both dinners... More

Dinardo's has been a staple in Olde City for years and on my return visit you can see the aging of the restaurant through the decor; lack of patronage and the tired menu. It was dark, atmosphere was depressing, but it appears to continue to have a solid following. I had a groupon, so that made it worth handing out... More

Recently visited DiNardo's Seafood with my daughter and once again enjoyed a great seafood meal, good service, reasonable drink prices, and a friendly, "old-Philly" sort of atmosphere. We'll be back again!
